According to the police, Dashrath has cases registered against him like murder, theft and rioting. Dashrath Mahato was also included in the top 10 list of Bhagalpur Police. A reward of Rs 50 thousand was also placed on Dashrath by the Deputy Inspector General of Police.
Special team was formed for arrest
For his arrest, a special team of Bhagalpur Police was formed under the leadership of CDPO Kahalgaon. DIU in-charge Inspector Ranjit has played an important role in this, who was continuously conducting raids to arrest Dashrath Mahato.
In this connection, the team got some solid information that Dashrath Mahato was arrested from Raipur, Chhattisgarh. He was brought to Bhagalpur after taking a transit demand from Chhattisgarh Court and after that he will be sent to jail after being presented before the Civil Court of Bhagalpur.
Senior police officer Anand Kumar said that four important top 10 criminals have also been arrested in the raid.
Neighbor was beaten to death
Dashrath Mahato, along with his two brothers, abused and assaulted their neighbor Dharamveer Mahato, in which he was seriously injured. He died during treatment. A case was registered at Kahalgaon police station on the written application of the deceased’s mother Yashoda Devi. Dashrath Manjhi was absconding in the murder case.
It is being told that after committing the crime, Dashrath Manjhi had fled away from his state. Due to fear of arrest, he used to earn his living by working as a laborer in Chhattisgarh.
