Police have recovered Rs 11,500 from their possession, so far Rs 7.63 lakh have been recovered. Anuj Kumar Yadav, resident of Madhav Nagar Colony of Sarnath police station area, was cyber cheated on 4th December. The caller tortured him by pretending to be a fake police officer, sometimes a judge and sometimes an investigating officer. By arresting him digitally, the thugs transferred Rs 98 lakh to his account.
The son of a retired Honorary Sub-Lieutenant is a Navy officer and was currently posted at the border of a country. When he did not talk to his father for several days, he took leave and reached home. After seeing the condition of the father and interrogating him, the whole truth came out.
