Rebellion in uniform on the streets of Muzaffarabad

According to the report, hundreds of POK police officers have refused to do duty under the banner of Jamiat-e-Police Kashmir and started a sit-in demonstration. They are in full uniform and are condemning the discriminatory attitude of the Pakistani government with banner-posters. Meanwhile, the employees of the revenue department have also tied a black bandage with them, showing solidarity and announced to go on strike from August 3.

Are we not enough Pakistani for the government?

Amid the protest, an official angrily said, “Are we not enough Pakistani for this government?” ‘Is this discrimination because we do duty in a disputed area? We put our lives at risk, but Pakistan considers us using using.

Despite such a big protests, the government led by Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir has kept silence.

Domineral behavior

Policemen sitting on strike allege that the Pakistani government is openly discriminating against policemen posted in POK in case of salary, pension and basic rights. They have to face more difficulties than their counterparts in Punjab or Sindh, yet they are being treated like this. A protestor said, ‘Our officers die during duty, but their widows have been getting the same minor pension for the last 50 years. ‘Police families get full compensation, medical care and government assistance in Punjab. In Pok, we are treated like second -class citizens.

In addition to pension and allowances, the protesters are revealing the strange sanctions imposed on their work. Officials claim that monthly fuel allowance runs only three days, making them spend money from their pockets to patrol their areas. Uniform washing allowance allegedly covers only one week of washing costs which shows great neglect.

Revenue department also involved in strike

In this episode, the revenue officials have announced that they will join the strike from August 3. By tying black straps, they are also opposing Islamabad’s constant neglect to POK and discriminatory behavior with local government employees.

Islamabad and Asim Munir have kept silence

Opposition to the exhibitions continued to increase, but the Pakistani government, especially the field -supported administration of Field Marshal Asim Munir, has not even given any answer. This silence reflects the long -standing attitude towards Pok. Which is that use this area as a strategic piece, exploit its people, but do not give anything in return.

Let us tell you that Pakistan has been using POK as campaigning against India for decades, while there has been a crushing of its citizens’ dissatisfaction and has denied their basic rights.
