Competition in EVS market has increased significantly with Tesla’s arrival in the Indian market. Currently, Tesla is going to sell its model Y at the country at the price of ₹ 59.89 lakh (early RWD variants) and ₹ 67.89 lakh (long range variants). Model Y will compete directly with premium models such as BYD Celsius 7, BMW IX1, Hyundai Ionic 5, and Kia EV6. Mahindra XEV 9E performance and range
Mahindra XEV 9E is a SUV-coupe whose ex-showroom price starts at ₹ 21.90 lakh. It is one of the most feature-rich cars created by any Indian manufacturer. The Mahindra XEV 9e 79 kwh is equipped with a battery pack, providing a 659 km ARAI-certified range. Along with this, the option of 59 kWh battery pack is also available in it, which gives a range of 542 km.
Mahindra BE 6: Powerful range in affordable price
Mahindra BE 6 is another ‘Bourne Electric’ car launched by the brand. It has two battery pack options 59 kwh and 79 kwh. This car comes with a rear-wheel-drive setup. The 59 kwh battery gives a maximum range of 557 km, while the 79 kwh battery can give a range of up to 638 km. This model is available at an initial price of ₹ 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata Harrier. Ev
Tata Harrier.EV has been launched in the Indian market at an initial ex-showroom price of ₹ 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This SUV also comes with two battery pack options 65 kwh and 75 kwh. The larger battery pack claims a range of 627 km. The company claims that this electric SUV with 120 kw DC fast charger can give a range of up to 250 km after just 15 minutes of charging and can be charged by 20 to 80 percent in 25 minutes.
Tesla model y’s performance and range
The Tesla model Y’s rear-wheel drive (RWD) variant has been introduced in India. It will get the option of both 60 kwh and 75 kwh battery pack. The RWD variant will have a single electric motor that will produce about 295 HP power and 420 Nm peak torque. Talking about the range, the 60 kwh battery claims to give a range of 500 km (WLTP) once charged, while the long range variant can go up to 622 km (WLTP). This car can catch a speed of 0-100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and its top speed is 201 km/h.
