Agni 5 Test Successful: India successfully tested Agni-5, a indigenously built medium-distance ballistic missile Agni-5, demonstrating its strategic military capabilities on Wednesday (August 20). This test is a major success in the country’s missile capacity. The ‘Agni-5’ ballistic missile was tested from Odisha’s Integrated Test Range, Chandipur on Wednesday. The test was concluded under the supervision of the Strategic Forces Command. According to the Ministry of Defense, in this test, the ballistic missile has successfully verified all its operational and technical parameters.
The Ministry of Defense (MOD) said in a statement that ‘Agni-5’ was successfully tested from the Integrated Test range in Chandipur, Odisha. The statement said that this missile stood up to all operations and technical parameters. The missile can go to a maximum of 600 km altitude and kill about 5,000 kilometers.
According to the statement, “Medium-distance ballistic missile ‘Agni-5’ was successfully tested on August 20 from the Integrated Test range in Chandipur, Odisha,” It stated, “The missile in the test stood up all the operations and technical parameters. The test was done under the aegis of the strategic force command.”
Defense sources said that the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) had successfully tested the ‘Agni-5’ on 11 March 2024 using multiple independent targetable re-entry vehicles (MIRV) technology from the same test range.
According to sources, this entire test was monitored from various telemeters and radar centers. This missile stood up to all prescribed parameters. India successfully tested the ‘Agni-5’ missile for the first time from the Integrated Test range in Chandipur on 19 April 2012.
The missile was then tested at a point in the Indian Ocean. This test also proved that India’s strategies are capable of launching this missile even in a short time preparation.
Missile big things
– Talking about the big things of ‘Agni-5’, it is a medium distance ballistic missile. Its firepower is more than 5,000 kilometers. This missile is capable of penetrating the targets of such a distance.
– It is equipped with a modern navigation system. India is constantly increasing the capacity, technology and firepower of ‘Agni-5’. This missile is capable of carrying both atomic and non-nuclear types of warheads.
-The big thing is that it can be launched with road-mobile launcher. This ballistic missile is based on indigenous technology. It has been developed by DRDO.
According to experts, it has access to the entire Asian continent and parts of Europe, which leads to unprecedented strength in India’s strategic power. During the test, ships, radars and telemetry stations deployed at the sea assessed the missile flight in a real time.
– This made it possible to analyze all technical data. The fire series is the mainstay of India’s nuclear-capable missiles. Its first edition i.e. Agni-1 was 700 km. India also has Agni-2, Agni-3 with a distance of 2,000 km, Agni-3 with a distance of 3,500 km, which has more than 4,000 km of range.
