Hitachi Energy India announced to appoint Ismo Entaro Haka as the chairman of the board since August 20, 2025. This decision was taken in the board meeting held on the same day.
DIN: Ismo Entaro Haka with 08598862 will replace Akim Michael Braun (DIN: 08596097). Haka will continue his role as the company’s non-executive and non-independent director, with which he will also play his new responsibilities as the Speaker.
The board also approved the appointment of Jeevan Nikas Person (DIN: 11239092) as Additional Director in the capacity of non-executive and non-independent directors. This appointment is under the approval of shareholders.
Akim Michael Braun has resigned as the company’s non-executive non-independent Director and Chairman at the time of trading closure on August 20, 2025. The resignation was given through the letter of August 19, 2025.
Given these changes, the board has restructured some committees since August 20, 2025. The revised structure is as follows:

Under the approval of the shareholder, the board has also approved the issue of postal ballot notice for approval of appointment as Director (non-executive and non-independent) of Jan Nikas Person.
Jan Nikas Person is the executive vice -president in Hitachi Energy’s Grid Integration Business Unit. He has played senior managerial roles in the company’s power grid businesses since he joined Hitachi Energy in 1997. Person has a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Orebro, Sweden.
The meeting, which started at 15:00 pm (IST) and ended at 19:02 pm (IST), was also discussed on the notice of postal ballot, which will be published and informed in the appointed time.
