This weekend, some of the most iconic basketball legends of the 21st century will be immortalized. This includes Maya Moore, Dwight Howard, Sue Bird and Carmelo Anthony. Despite being a small group, this year’s Hall of Fame batch features some of the most influential athletes. A few months ago it was first revealed that Carmelo Anthony would be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Later, he invited Allen Iverson and Dwyane Wade to present at this year’s induction ceremony.

The 2025 Basketball Hall of Fame batch will be formally inducted and presented on September 6 in front of several previous Hall of Famers. The group also includes Carmelo Anthony, a legend of Team USA and a member of the Denver Nuggets.At 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, the former Syracuse basketball icon will be included into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. NBA TV will broadcast the ceremony live from the red carpet at 6 p.m. ET, and Fubo will offer streaming. The main ceremony will start at 7 p.m. ET. Additionally, DirecTV, Sling, and Hulu + Live TV will also offer live streaming. Meanwhile, emotionally, reacting to the news, Carmelo Anthony once said: “This is the best feeling I’ve ever had in my life.. Winning the national championship hasn’t sunk in yet.”
Carmelo Anthony chose Dwyane Wade and Allen Iverson as presenters for Hall of Fame induction
The official Hall of Fame account posted the names of the 2025 Naismith Hall of Fame presenters on X a few months ago. The post read: “Carmelo Anthony selected Hall of Famers Dwyane Wade and Allen Iverson as presenters for his upcoming induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Dwight Howard selected Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing to be among the group of people presenting him, the HOF announced..”Now, after that, another NBA icon Dwyane Wade made an announcement on Instagram with the following caption: “D WADE & AI PRESENTING MELO AT THE HALL OF FAME CEREMONY..” He then wrote:“Honored!”Anthony’s role in Syracuse’s only national championship in 2003 is proof of his undeniable impact on the Orange. Later, he assisted Team USA in securing three gold medals and was named to 10 All-Star and 6 All-NBA teams.Additionally, Melo averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds in his sole year with the Orange and was a consensus All-American.
