UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath feeds milk to a leopard cub in Gorakhpur Zoo

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inspected the Gorakhpur Zoo today, where he also fed milk to a leopard cub.

With local MP Ravi Kishan by his side and surrounded by vets and zoo officials, Yogi Adityanath is seen holding a bottle of milk as the cub reaches for it.

The leopard cub initially hesitates to drink the milk. The vet then brings it back to Yogi Adityanath, who, wearing protective orange rubber gloves, holds the cub and tries to feed it again. This time, the cub manages to drink from the bottle.

Later, the Chief Minister is shown around the zoo’s enclosures where they keep the big cats.

In a video on the UP government’s official YouTube channel, a zoo official is seen explaining the features of the enclosures and how the animals are managed.

Also known as Shaheed Ashfaq Ullah Khan Zoological Park, the zoo was inaugurated by Yogi Adityanath in March last year.

This is the first zoological park in Purvanchal region and the third in Uttar Pradesh, according to zoo’s official website.

જેમાં 15 સ્ટેશનમાં મુખ્ય આકર્ષણવાળુ સ્ટેશન જૂની હાઇકોર્ટ છે. જેમાં ઇન્ટરચેન્જ સ્ટેશન હોવાથી આકર્ષણનું સ્ટેશન બન્યું છે. જૂની હાઇકોર્ટ સ્ટેશન પર વસ્ત્રાલથી થલતેજ રૂટ અને વેજલપુર APMCથી મોટેરા રોડ જોડાતો હોવાથી આકર્ષણનું કેન્દ્ર છે. તેમજ હાલ 2 ઓક્ટોબરે શરૂ થયેલા રૂટમાં બહોળી સંખ્યામાં લોકો મુસાફરી કરી રહ્યા છે.

Technical Snag Affects Services on Section of Delhi Metro's Blue Line

DMRC officials said the catenary wire (system of overhead wires used to supply electricity to light rail vehicle) was damaged and metro services were affected for three hours

Metro services between Akshardham and Mayur Vihar Phase-I section of the Blue Line were affected on Wednesday morning due to repair work of wires which got damaged as a train was heading towards Noida Electronic City, officials said.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) officials said the catenary wire (system of overhead wires used to supply electricity to light rail vehicle) was damaged and metro services were affected for three hours from 6.45 am to 9.45 am.

“During this period, regular train services were maintained from Dwarka Sector 21 to Yamuna Bank section of the Blue Line. Single line services were maintained between Yamuna Bank and Noida Sector 16 as the maintenance work of damaged catenary wire was in progress,” DMRC Principal Executive Director Anuj Dayal said.

He said regular train services were also maintained from Noida Sector 16 to Noida Electronic City section in another loop and the repair work was over by 9.45 am.

To inform passengers about the same, regular announcements were made at the stations and inside the trains on the Blue Line, he added. The DMRC had also posted a tweet around 7.15 am to alert the commuters about the disruption in its services.

Congress, BJP Slams KCR for Renaming Party, Asaduddin Owasi Welcomes Move

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi is now Bharat Rashtra Samithi, KCR declared today.

The Telangana units of BJP and Congress today slammed Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for renaming the TRS, and said it was borne out of political greed while AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi welcomed it.

Telangana PCC President Revanth Reddy alleged that Mr Rao has killed the existence of Telangana, and the rechristening of Telangana Rashtra Samithi to Bharat Rashtra Samithi is to settle family disputes and fulfill political greed.

Claiming that KCR is not eligible to contest elections in Telangana, Mr Reddy said as a son of the soil, he strongly condemned Mr Rao’s “evil ideas”.

Telangana BJP chief spokesperson K Krishna Sagar Rao dubbed Chief Minister Rao’s national political entry plan a “misadventurism”. While Chandrasekhar Rao struggled to keep “his government operational financially”, the national level expansion bid is an unworthy exercise.

“This is not the first time a regional party has nurtured national ambitions. Many regional parties since 1947 have tried and failed. AIADMK, DMK, TDP, SP, BSP, RJD, JD(U), TMC and recently Aam Admi Party are few,” he said in a statement.

He said the BJP believes that there’s no ‘Telangana Model’ and it exists only in the “fictitious imagination” of the Chief Minister. One can’t sell a model to the nation, which doesn’t exist, the BJP spokesperson said.

“I strongly believe CM KCR’s initiative will be a self sabotage. Change of the name from TRS to BRS will lead to losing his home turf, while he embarks on a wasteful national ambition,” the BJP leader said.

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi in a tweet congratulated Rao on his national venture. “My best wishes to the party on their new beginning,” the Hyderabad MP tweeted.

Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) today changed its name to ‘Bharat Rashtra Samithi’ (BRS), heralding the party’s foray into national politics.

A resolution to this effect was passed at the party’s general body meeting here. Party president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao read out the resolution and announced that the party’s general body meet unanimously resolved to change the name.

The buyer of the vase is reportedly from China but is yet to be identified.. “From the moment the catalogue was published we saw there was enormous interest with more and more Chinese people coming to see the vase. Our expert still thinks it’s not old. The Chinese are passionate about their history and proud to take possession of their history,” Cédric Laborde, a director at Osenat, told The Guardian.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday briefly stopped his speech during a rally in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir as ‘Azaan’ or Muslim call to prayer was going on from a nearby mosque. Five minutes into his about half-an-hour speech at Showkat Ali stadium in this North Kashmir district, the senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader paused and asked those on the stage “if something was going on at a mosque”?

When someone on the stage told him that ‘Azaan’ was going on, Shah stopped his speech, attracting a huge round of applause and chanting of slogans in his favour from the gathering.

After a brief moment, he said the call for prayer has now stopped and asked if he would continue his speech. “Should I start or not? Say it loudly, should I start,” he asked and then went on with his speech.

Earlier, soon after his arrival, Shah started his speech much to the delight of the people who had been waiting for hours since early morning. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Jitender Singh, who were also present on the stage, did not address the gathering.

"Will Start Preparing To Contest For 2024 Elections": BJP's Pankaja Munde

BJP leader Pankaja Munde today said she was not disgruntled over not getting any post, and would start preparations for contesting the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections from Parli.

Ms Munde, daughter of BJP leader late Gopinath Munde, was speaking at her customary Dussehra rally at Sawargaon Ghat in Beed district.

“Struggle is part of everyone’s life. Even Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had to struggle. Late Gopinath Munde had to struggle throughout his entire political career. He got into government for only four and a half years,” she said.

She was carrying forward the legacy of Jan Sangh ideologue Deendayal Upadhyaya, Pankaja further said.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president J P Nadda had seen the crowds at her earlier Dussehra rallies and asked her to work for these people, she said.

“People think their leader should get something and there is nothing wrong with that. I am not holding any post since 2019 Assembly polls but I am not disgruntled,” the former state minister said.

She, however, made it clear that she wanted to contest again from Parli, where her estranged cousin and NCP leader Dhananjay Munde had defeated her last time.

“But the party organization is above any person. I am not disgruntled with anyone. I shall start preparations for 2024 polls if the party gave me a ticket,” she said.

She changed herself as much as she could, and now it was the turn of those who wanted her to change, she said.

Ms Munde was a cabinet minister in the Devendra Fadnavis-led government in the state between 2014 and 2019. But she did not make it to the cabinet when the BJP came to power again this June in alliance with the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena faction.

ગૃહપ્રધાન અમિત શાહે કહ્યું “અમે રાજકીય પ્રક્રિયા શરૂ કરી છે. હું તમને ખાતરી આપવા માંગુ છું કે એકવાર ચૂંટણી પંચ મતદાર યાદી જાહેર કરવાનું કામ પૂર્ણ કરી લેશે, ચૂંટણી સંપૂર્ણ પારદર્શિતા સાથે હાથ ધરવામાં આવશે અને તમારા પોતાના ચૂંટાયેલા પ્રતિનિધિઓ અહીં શાસન કરશે. તેમને કહ્યું કે પહેલા માત્ર ત્રણ પરિવારો – અબ્દુલ્લા, મુફ્તી અને ગાંધી – સત્તામાં હતા, પરંતુ સીમાંકન પછી ‘તમારા પોતાના પ્રતિનિધિ’ ચૂંટણી જીતશે.

જમ્મુ-કાશ્મીરમાં સ્થિતિ સુધારવાનો દાવો

અમિત શાહે દાવો કર્યો કે કલમ 370 હટાવ્યા બાદ જમ્મુ-કાશ્મીરની સ્થિતિમાં ઘણો સુધારો થયો છે. શાહે કહ્યું કે મોદી સરકાર દ્વારા આતંકવાદીઓ વિરુદ્ધ લેવામાં આવેલી કડક કાર્યવાહીને કારણે જમ્મુ-કાશ્મીરમાં સુરક્ષાની સ્થિતિ પહેલા કરતા વધુ સારી બની છે. તેમણે કહ્યું કે આના પરિણામે આ વર્ષે જીવ ગુમાવનારા સુરક્ષાકર્મીઓની સંખ્યા પ્રતિ વર્ષ 1,200થી ઘટીને 136 થઈ ગઈ છે.

ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે શાહની મુલાકાત પહેલા 28 સપ્ટેમ્બરે ઉધમપુરમાં 8 કલાકના ગાળામાં બસોમાં બે બ્લાસ્ટ થયા હતા. પહેલો બ્લાસ્ટ બુધવારે રાત્રે લગભગ 10.30 વાગ્યે ડોમેલ ચોક ખાતે પેટ્રોલ પંપ પાસે પાર્ક કરેલી ખાલી બસમાં થયો હતો. જેમાં 2 લોકો ઘાયલ થયા હતા. બીજો બ્લાસ્ટ ગુરુવારે સવારે 6 વાગે બસ સ્ટેન્ડ પર પાર્ક કરેલી ખાલી બસમાં થયો હતો. આમાં કોઈને ઈજા થઈ નથી.

Anushka, knowing Virat’s love for Choley Bhaturey (an Indian dish), was on constant search for the best Choley bhaturey in Mumbai as the cricketer misses the Delhi taste in the Maximum City. The actress’ search finally came to an end on Wednesday (October 5) when she found a place thanks to stand up comedian Abhishek Upmanyu who first discovered the outlet, which is located in Chembur area of the city.

Here’s what Anushka had to say about finding the best choley bhaturey in Mumbai: “Today is a big day in our home. Finally, after what seemed like a never ending search (honestly I had given up) for ekdum-delhi-jaise-choley-bhature in Mumbai, I am more than happy to announce that this search has ended and I have given my husband ecstatic jou. Those who know him know his love for chole bhature. The one cheat meal he has no guilt over (he watched Delhi choley bhature videos in his free time). And finally after today he is feeling like Mumbai has done it. So here is presenting in the next picture the photo of this source of immense joy and satisfaction in our household today.”

Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV breaks 600 km range barrier: Company's most aero efficient car

Hyundai Motor Company has announced that its upcoming Ioniq 6 electric sedan has achieved a 614 km range as per Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) standards. The company attributes a large part of the achievement to the EV’s ultra-low wind resistance. Thanks to its streamlined design, the Ioniq 6 has a drag coefficient of 0.21, which is also the lowest in Hyundai’s entire line-up yet.

The Ionic 6 is based on Hyundai’s Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) that delivers optimised electrical performance and supports 800V fast charging. It can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes. When launched, the EV will be offered in two configurations, a long range version with a 77.4 kW battery pack and a low range version featuring a 53 kW battery pack. The low range version offers a maximum range of 429 km.

Byung Hoon Min, Head of Total Vehicle Performance Development Center at Hyundai Motor Company said, “Our focus on improving aerodynamics helped to achieve one of the longest all-electric range vehicles available, which will reduce customers’ EV range anxiety and help grow the segment.”

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV is set to go on sale in North American and European markets in 2023. Meanwhile, the company is reportedly gearing up to launch the facelift Kona EV and locally assemble the Ioniq 5 EV here in India, when it gets launched. There is no official statement from Hyundai on whether the Ioniq 6 will make its way to Indian shores any time soon.
