A district level voting literacy workshop was held by the district education department under the chairmanship of the additional collector at Dr Nalinkant Gandhi town hall in Himatnagar of Sabarkantha district on Saturday.
India is a democratic country. The right to vote has been given in democracy. One should use it to become a partner in the development of the country. This is a matter of enthusiasm for new voters. Then every citizen should participate in democracy by voting properly. Further, Additional Collector K. P. Patidar said that BLO is going door to door to complete the work related to voter list. Which is a very important work. Voting is a great gift. Hence requested to spread awareness about voting by giving the information obtained from the workshop to others.
In this workshop, necessary guidance for voting literacy was given by District Education Officer SK Vyas. In the workshop for voting literacy, short films for voting awareness were shown. Also, the citizens were told the benefits of the voter list revision program to be held from August 1. In this workshop at the district level, the District Education Office Inspector Tarunaben Desai, Taluka Education Inspectors, BRCs, Nodal officers handling SPIPA program of all high schools of the district were present.
