The Chief Minister of Gujarat was also apprised by the Anand District Administration of the situation especially in the village of Siswa, which has received heavy rains, evacuation of villagers from low lying areas to a safe place as well as safety of life, property and livestock.

In a telephonic conversation with the Anand District Collector, Bhupendra Patel has given guidance to the district administration on rescue and relief work, human and animal death assistance, food, health security system, power supply and water supply to the displaced persons. He consulted the Collector for assistance from the State Government including NDRF and SDRF if required.

The Chief Minister was apprised by the Anand District Administration about the situation especially in the village of Siswa, which was hit by heavy rains, evacuation of villagers from low lying areas to safer places as well as safety of life, property and livestock. The Chief Minister had received information from District Collector Dakshini that immediate action has been taken to restore power supply to the villages affected by torrential rains in Borsad of Anand district and to remove fallen trees on the roads. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also received detailed information that a team of NDRF has come from Vadodara to help people trapped in flood-hit houses due to rains in Borsad and surrounding villages in Anand district and has joined rescue operations.

He had received information from the District Collector that one person has died and about 50 animals have died in Borsad taluka due to this heavy rain. He also instructed the health system to be deployed for health related activities including spraying.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also gave necessary guidance for conducting prompt survey and payment of cashdolls in case of damage to raw huts, houses and further damage. The Chief Minister also directed the District Collector to arrange labor vehicle etc. from the district administration for the villagers who want to take their belongings to a safe place elsewhere. He also provided meals to those who have been relocated to safer places

The Chief Minister also consulted the District Collector for all assistance including sending more NDRF, SDRF teams through the State Emergency Operations Center of the State Government as and when required in the district. The Chief Minister also directed the district administration to be more vigilant and alert as the meteorological department has forecast more rains in the coming days.
