The noise of campaigning for the third and final phase of Panchayat elections to be held in Mandla on July 8 in Niwas, Bijadandi and Narayanganj development blocks came to an end today. Before the end of the campaign, all the candidates were busy wooing the voters in the electoral fray with all their might.

In the third phase, 1 sarpanch and 1384 panch have been elected unopposed even before the voting in 127 gram panchayats. For the remaining 4 district panchayat members, 36 district members, 126 sarpanch and 454 panch posts, polling and counting will be completed on July 8 in 320 polling stations in three districts of the district.

In the home constituency of Union Minister of State for Steel and Rural Development Faggan Singh Kulaste, voting is to be held in this third phase itself. At the end of the election campaign, Union Minister Kulaste was also seen campaigning in support of BJP supported candidates by meeting and meeting with the voters of the area.

Out of 16 Zilla Panchayat seats in the district, in the third phase of elections, polling is to be held for 4 Zilla Panchayat seats, Area No. 13, Area No. 14, Area No. 15 and Area No. 16, for which 19 candidates are in the fray.

  • In Narayanganj block, there are 14 posts of district member, 50 posts of sarpanch and 715 posts of panch. In which 551 Panchs were elected unopposed and no form has been filled for 6 Panch posts.
  • In Bijadandi block there are 12 posts of district member, 42 of sarpanch and 617 of panch. In which 416 panchs have been elected unopposed, while no form has been filled for 9 panch posts.
