Bhavikbhai Patel, a 30-year-old commerce graduate from Hinglaj in Idar taluka of Sabarkantha district, has made organic farming his profession. If farming is considered as a business and done in a timely and planned manner, if you devote as much time to this farming work as you devote to your job, then this farming gives a lot of returns. Bhavikbhai Patel said that after completing his studies, when he was thinking about a job for some time, he participated in the training organized by Subhash Palekarji at Ahmedabad and got complete knowledge about this agriculture.

After this training, there was a change in thinking and the approach towards agriculture changed, the traditional occupation of our paternal grandfathers is agriculture. If Vaniya’s son does business and succeeds, then why are we farmers’ sons not successful in this farming? And this natural farming started. Chemical farming reduced the fertility of the soil and increased the cost and the production started getting less and the chemical farming is harmful to our health. The farmer who sprays the chemical drugs in the field is also at risk of his own life.

50 percent of the cost is in agriculture
50 percent of the cost in this cultivation is Rs. 1 lakh. If I earn, 50 thousand will be spent on it. Before this farming, crops like cotton, wheat, cumin etc. were taken. Ever since we started organic farming, the amount of organic carbon in the soil has increased, the cost is less and the profit is more, that is only and only 10 percent in this. As far as the cost of labor is concerned, we get all the things at home. The prices of natural farm produce are getting more than the chemical farming. I grow crops like maize, wheat, talbuch, groundnut and millet. I use Bhijamrut. Also, bramhastra, neemastra for disease and pest, and darshaparani extract and desi cow’s milk for fungicide. If the farmer takes time and plans for farming as his business then this farming is very profitable. Also Saving water is also very important. For this, I am doing drip farming in my total land. Due to chemical farming, deadly diseases like cancer have spread and the land has become barren. If there is any solution to all these problems, then this is natural farming.
