Every day thousands of people from Navsari go to Surat for employment. Railways has become a lifeline for the passholders but due to the lockdown some trains have not started until now. Due to which traders going to Surat in the afternoon are facing hardship. Around 5 thousand traders have been affected by non-starting of trains. But the voice of these people does not reach the ears of the railway officials.
Mahidharpura’s diamond market opens in the afternoon
The diamond market in Surat’s Mahidharpura opens in the afternoon. So traders used to travel in Virar-Surat shuttle which used to arrive at Navsari at 12 o’clock, but due to lockdown due to lockdown of Virat shuttle, traders have been forced to go to Surat by very expensive private vehicle or bus.
The presentation proved false
From the MLA to the respective zonal members of the Railways, the DRM has been presented regarding this whole situation. However, no solution has been found regarding the demands of traders.
Facing disaster
Railway committee member Sanjay Shah has said that around four to five thousand traders are going to Surat in the afternoon, they are facing the problem of train not starting at the right time. Time has been sought from Railway Minister Darshana Zardosh in this whole matter. A demand will be made to start the train by telling them the whole fact in person.
