Corona infection is decreasing among Mumbaikars while the number of blood pressure patients is increasing. In the survey conducted by the municipality, the number of such patients in the age group of 18 to 69 years is seen to be increasing continuously.

Since the proportion of people suffering from blood pressure is 34 percent, from August 15, the municipality will start a blood pressure check-up center in every hospital along with a survey in Ghergher, malls. According to the directive of the World Health Organization, after the infection of Corona, 5 thousand patients were surveyed in Mumbai.

Of these, 34 percent of individuals developed symptoms of blood pressure. So the municipality has decided to test according to the symptoms of high blood pressure. Under this, Health and Asha employees will go to each house and test. This facility will also be available in the mall, said Additional Commissioner Dr. Sanjeev Kumar said. This survey has been included under the municipal program to avoid neglect of non-infectious diseases.

For this, training of more than 3 thousand Arogya Sevika and Asha Sevika has been started since July 4. After this training, the health and volunteer will go home and conduct blood pressure and diabetes tests. In the next phase of high blood pressure survey, the municipality wants to start a test center for diabetes test, mouth, uterus and breast cancer. Kumar noted.

It will reach every Mumbaigar
Through this survey, the municipality aims to reach every Mumbaigar by mid-September. Small hospitals will also be started for that. The 40 dispensaries to be opened in the first phase will be open till 11 pm. 250 doctors will be appointed in it. The patients who will take advantage of this medical facility will be given the facility of medicine at home.
