The shopkeepers of Gandhinagar’s largest food court in Gha-5 have not been paid the shop rent despite giving three notices so far. As a result of which, the capital planning department has given final notices to the traders and given them an ultimatum of 15 days to pay the rent. Thus, a plan has been made to confiscate the shop of the trader who does not pay the rent in the next day.

Six months rent was waived during Corona period
The traders of the food court located at G-5 in Gandhinagar were not paying the rent of the shops for a long time and were given three notices. Despite this, the system has taken a decision to confiscate the shops of traders who show delay in paying the rent. Even during the corona period, the government waived six months’ rent of shops. During the Corona period, the business was stopped. When the condition of traders became dire in this period of two and a half years, depending on this situation, the traders of G-5 food and beverage market proposed to the government to waive the rent of the stalls of the food court.

There are approximately 96 shops in the food court
There are approximately 96 shops in Gandhinagar Food Court. In the year 2013, 39 of these stalls were allocated. These stalls were allotted at the end of public auction. Lakhs of rupees were also spent on the renovation of the food court of G-5. While in the meantime, due to the problem of overflowing drains in this area, the work of laying a new line at an estimated cost of 65 lakhs was also undertaken.

A final ultimatum was given by giving a last notice to the traders
Despite all the facilities being provided to the traders by the system, the traders are still reluctant to pay the rent. Due to which the system has come to suffer a huge financial loss. Despite being given three notices earlier, the traders are refusing to pay the rent. Hence, a final ultimatum has been given to the traders by giving the last notice. Now if the rent is not paid within the stipulated time limit, action will be taken to confiscate the shop.
