Gandhinagar: The government is ready to buy MSP of mugs, which will be procured at support prices from July 21
Deciding in the interest of farmers, the state government has decided to purchase mugs (MSP) at support prices. Mugs will be procured at a support price of Rs 7,275 per quintal. From July 11 to July 20, farmers will have to register at e-gram centers.

Registration must be done online
Giving further details, the Agriculture Minister said that the purchase of summer mugs at support price through NAFED was done by the state government-appointed state nodal agency Indiegro Consortium Producer Co. Ltd. (FPO). Farmers will have to register online from July 11 to 20, 2022 to buy summer mugs at support prices. Subsequently, from 21st July 2022, subject to the approval received from the Central Government, the purchase of mugs from various centers in Gujarat will be started.
The Agriculture Minister said that at present, various APMCs are being set up. The average market price of mug crop at fixed support price is Rs. In the interest of the farmers, it has been decided by the state government to purchase summer mugs at the support price of less than Rs 7,275 per quintal so as not to cause any economic loss to the farmers of the state.
Giving details about the registration, the Agriculture Minister said that farmers would be registered at the village level for purchase of summer mugs at support price through e-gram centers through VLE. Farmers will not have to pay any charge for registration. Documents required by the farmer for registration such as copy of Aadhar card, copy of latest village sample-7, record of crop in village sample-12 regarding planting of mugs in summer 2021-22 or copy of talati regarding sowing of crop, copy of first page of bank passbook or copy of canceled check Will remain. In addition, since registration is OTP based, mobile phone number will be mandatory for registration. Under no circumstances will registration be done offline, he added.
