The people of IP Colony, Sector 30, have expressed their displeasure over the amount of sewer water connection. People say that the corporation administration is working to rob people’s pockets by charging more amount. Unless the amount is amended, no resident will deposit the amount. On Saturday, people gathered in the colony and protested.
Colony residents Vivek Sachdeva, Arun Kumar Narayan, Mukul, Sunil Rawat, JC Joshi, Jagmohan Bhadana, Mamta, Ghanshyam, Sumedha, Yogesh, Mamta Srivastava, Mukul Chadda, Padam Prasad etc. say that people in this colony gave 5000 in 2019. Tax connections were legalized. Why is the Municipal Corporation now asking for 14,100 from the colony. First paid the builder, now the corporation has to pay again. Vivek Sachdeva said that the corporation administration is engaged in corruption by putting robes on the pockets of the people. A case has been filed against him in the High Court. Now no one’s connection will be cut. Chief complainant Jagmohan Bhadana said that the Municipal Corporation is cutting slips of different rates at different places in the same city. There is darkness. Until the court’s decision comes, none of the residents will deposit the money. On the other hand, Xen JP Badhwa says that the rates have been fixed by the state government.
