Varnama police raided an open space near Ratanpur Estate and seized 467 boxes of liquor worth Rs.19.06 lakh during the cutting of liquor from containers late on Thursday night. The liquor was ordered by Ratanpur’s notorious bootlegger and Gram Panchayat member Rakesh Jaiswal. The police have registered a case against a total of 6.
The Varnama police received information late on Thursday night that a notorious bootlegger Rakesh alias Lalo Rajnikant Jaiswal, a resident of Ratanpur village, had ordered foreign liquor in a container with a closed body from the outside. This container is currently being taken to an open space near Sign Industries in Ratanpur Estate on the road from Ratanpur to Shankarpura village and cut in the dark of night to send the quantity of foreign liquor to different places.
When the police reached the spot based on the information, the container had arrived and cutting was going on from it. At the same time, two Bolero pickups, a white Eco and an Activa, along with a container were found at the raid site. When all the people were informed of the coming of the police, they ran away. Police found 13,872 foreign liquor bottles, quarts and beer tins in 467 boxes of foreign liquor worth Rs.19.06 lakh in containers, boleros and eco cars. Police seized liquor and vehicles worth a total of Rs.50.46 lakh. The police had registered a case against Rakesh Jaiswal, the container driver, the Bolero driver, the Activa driver and a total of 6 persons under the Prohibition Act, including the accused who sent the liquor.
Police found Shreya Enterprises pet scrap bundle bill from the cabin of the container. In which Shreya Enterprises, Room No. 9, Jogeshwari East, Mumbai and New Ahmedabad Traders, Haranwali Pol Nakha, Panchkuwa, Khadia were shown as the receiver in the customer address. The police found the owner of the vehicle to be Ghulam Mohammad Mohammadharoon (residence-Lalbara, UP) after checking the papers of the container of UP Parsing. It is noted that the Jaiswal brothers Rakesh and Pappu Jaiswal of Ratanpur have attacked the police.
