Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel honored the sportspersons who have made India and Gujarat proud in the world by getting medals in various sports in Commonwealth Games-2022 by presenting a sports talent award worth 80 lakh rupees in Gandhinagar.

A solemn ceremony in Gandhinagar

A grand ceremony was held in Gandhinagar by the Sports, Youth and Cultural Affairs Department of the State Government in the presence of Minister of State Shri Harsh Sanghvi.

35 lakh Khel Pratibha award to Harmeet Desai

The Chief Minister and the Minister of State awarded gold medal winner Harmit Desai of Gujarat in table tennis team event at the Commonwealth Games-2022 with Rs. 35 lakh Khel Pratibha Award was awarded.

Checks were presented to Bhavina Patel- Sonal Patel

Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel and Minister of State Shri Harsh Sanghvi awarded gold medalist Bhavina Patel in single event in Para Table Tennis Rs. 25 lakh, bronze medalist disabled athlete Sonal Patel Rs. A check of 10 lakhs was presented.

Awarded to Indian cricketers Yashika Bhatia-Radha Yadav

He presented five lakh rupees each to Yashika Bhatia and Radha Yadav, two prominent women cricketers from Gujarat, who excelled in the Indian women’s cricket team at the Commonwealth Games.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel gave good wishes

Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel inspired the players present on this occasion and said that the new steps taken and incentives given by the Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi for sports and sports have increased the enthusiasm of every athlete across the country. People’s perception of sports has changed and in every sport, talented players are participating in various sports, even from the rural level. Not only this, India has now advanced in every field including sports. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel added that the state government is also standing by the players by providing advanced training, incentives and necessary arrangements to ensure that the players of the state excel at the world level. The Chief Minister also wished these winning players for a bright career and more excellent performances.
