In Junagadh district today, Meghraja batted with a bang, causing flooding in the local rivers. Traffic was severely affected as the floodwaters resurfaced on the roads. The road was closed due to waterlogging near Manavadar-Vanthali bypass. However, motorists were seen crossing the road risking their lives.
There was a traffic jam due to the closure of Manavdar Highway
Due to the heavy rains, the Uben and Ozat rivers overflowed and the pedestrians were in danger on the Manavadar Vanthali highway. The Manavadar highway was closed as the water of the Uben river overflowed onto the highway and there were scenes of traffic jams. The water overflowed the highways creating a torrential downpour in the entire Junagadh city as well as the district panthak. Due to heavy rainfall in the upper reaches, a flood-like condition was also created in the river dam spring due to which the Manavadar to Vanthali highway was closed.
