भोपाल:

अपने चचेरे भाई की मौत से व्यथित मध्य प्रदेश के एक चौंकाने वाले मामले में एक व्यक्ति ने उसकी जलती चिता में कूदकर आत्महत्या कर ली. प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, उसे उसके शरीर के सामने झुकते हुए देखा गया और फिर घातक कदम उठाया।

सागर जिले के मझगवां गांव में शुक्रवार को एक कुएं में गिरने से महिला ज्योति डागा की मौत हो गई। उनका अंतिम संस्कार शनिवार को किया गया। परिजन चिता को जलाने के बाद अपने-अपने घर चले गए। कुछ देर बाद चचेरा भाई करण श्मशान घाट पहुंचा।

ग्रामीणों ने उसे देखते ही उसके परिवार को सूचित किया लेकिन तब तक बहुत देर हो चुकी थी। परिवार के मौके पर पहुंचने से पहले ही 21 वर्षीय गंभीर रूप से जल गया था।

मझगवां गांव के सरपंच भरत सिंह घोसी ने कहा कि उन्हें अस्पताल ले जाया गया लेकिन रास्ते में ही उनकी मौत हो गई।

रविवार की सुबह उनका अंतिम संस्कार ज्योति की चिता के पास किया गया।

बहेरिया थाना प्रभारी दिव्य प्रकाश त्रिपाठी ने कहा कि पूरे मामले की स्थिति का पता पुलिस जांच के बाद ही चल पाएगा।
