The S580 measures 5,126mm in length, and the EQS 580 4Matic is only slightly shorter than the S-Class but both have a near identical wheelbase of 3,210mm.
Mercedes Benz also said that they have achieved a coefficient of 0.20Cd – even lower than the EQS 53’s 0.23Cd.
2. Interior and Features
Moving on to the interior, the main highlight here is the ‘Hyperscreen’ that it comes with. The Mercedes Benz EQS 580 gets a 56-inch MBUX Hyperscreen which assimilation of three screens, including a passenger display, central infotainment, and driver display. The driver and front passenger get 12.3-inch screens each, while the infotainment system in the centre is 17.7-inch. There are 12 actuators to give haptic feedback to the users and the Hyperscreen also gets pre-installed games.
The EQS 580 gets other features such as 3D maps, a heads-up display, a massage function for the front seats, a Burmester 3D sound system, air filtration, and an MBUX tablet for the rear seat passengers.
3. Powertrain
The Mercedes Benz EQS 580 gets two electric motors, one on each axle, and together, the motors make a combined power of 523hp and 855Nm. That makes it 238hp and 165Nm lower than the EQS 53 AMG.
Mercedes claims that the EQS 589 can sprint from 0-100 in just 4.3-seconds and the car has a limited top speed of 210kph.
4. Battery and Range
The two electric motors in the EQS 580 are powered by a 107.8kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This battery pack is compatible with 200kW fast charging and Mercedes claims that the EV can get 300 km of range in 15 minutes if a 200 kWh DC charger is used the company also said that this luxury electric car can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in 31 minutes.
The car claims a range of up to 677 km (WLTP)| 857 km (ARAI-certified) which also makes it the longest range EV in the country.
5. Safety, Pricing and Rivals
Talking about the safety features, the EQS 580 boasts a EURO NCAP safety rating of 5 stars and comes equipped with nine airbags. Mercedes states that a favourable location has been chosen for the installation of the battery, in a crash-protected area in the underbody.
The EV gets rear-axle steering with 10° steering angle adjustment, HEPA Filter, Dynamic Select, and Predictive Route Planning, among other features.
The prices for the electric luxury sedan start from Rs 1.55 crore (ex-showroom). In terms of pricing, the EQS 580 competes with Audi e-Tron and Porsche Taycan.
A Twitter user had sarcastically tweeted that Mahira would donate the dresses she wore at the event to flood victims. Replying to the user, Mahira tweeted, “It’s never ok for us – the artists of your country (Pakistan)! I have and will continue to do my part. If it makes you happy, I can take some pictures while at it. Oh, but then it’ll be – showing off doing charity. The unkind commentary never ends. You do you. I will do me.”

આપના (AAP ) સંયોજક તથા દિલ્લીના મુખ્યમંત્રી અરવિંદ કેજરીવાલ (Arvind kejriwal) તેમજ પંજાબના મુખ્યમંત્રી ભગવંત માન (Bhagwant Maan) ગુજરાતની મુલાકાતે આવ્યા હતા અને તેઓ રાજકોટમાં વિવિધ કાર્યક્રમમાં સામેલ થયા હતા તે અંતર્ગત પંજાબના મુખ્યપ્રધાન ભગવંત માન એક કાર્યક્રમમાં સ્ટેજ પર ગરબે ઘૂમ્યા હતા. નવરાત્રીમાં (Navratri 2022) ચારે તરફ ગરબાની રમઝટ જામી છે ત્યારે બંગાળમાં પણ મુખ્યમંત્રી મમતા બેનર્જીએ ગરબા કર્યા હતા તો કેન્દ્રીય મંત્રી સ્મૃતિ ઇરાની પણ એક કાર્યક્રમમાં ગરબા રમતા જોવા મળ્યા હતા. ગુજરાતી ગરબાની લોકપ્રિયતા એટલી છે કે ભાગ્યે જ નવરાત્રિમાં લોકો ગરબા રમવાની મજા માણ્યા વિનાના રહેતા હશે.
આ ગરબાનું આયોજન ઇન્દ્રનીલ રાજ્યગુરૂ દ્વારા કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. આ ગરબા કાર્યક્રમમાં ભગવંત માને ગરબા તેમજ ભાગંડા કર્યા હતા. તેમણે ગરબા અને ભાગંડા કરતા જનમેદની તેમને ચિચિયારી કરીને વધાવી લીધા હતા . તો દિલ્લીના મુખ્યમંત્રી અરવિંદ કેજરીવાલે પણ રાજકોટમાં ખોડલધામ દ્વારા આયોજિત ગરબા મહોત્સવમાં હાજરી આપી હતી.

This is second accident in Kanpur in the last 24 hours. (Representational)
Kanpur, UP:
Five people were killed and several injured after a speeding truck rammed into a loader tempo in Kanpur on late Saturday night.
The incident took place at Ahirwan flyover in Kanpur. The injured were shifted to Hallet Hospital.
“An accident took place last night at the Ahirwan flyover where five people lost their lives and seven are severely injured. The injured people have been shifted to Hallet hospital for further treatment,” said Vishak G Iyer, District Magistrate, Kanpur.
Meanwhile, the death count in another road accident in Kanpur, where a tractor trolley carrying pilgrims overturned, rose to 26 on Saturday.
The incident took place in the Ghatampur area of Kanpur district on late Saturday evening.
The tractor trolley carrying devotees was returning from Unnao. Following the accident, the police rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation along with the locals.
The injured were sent to the community health centre immediately for treatment. Five injured have been referred to Kanpur Hallet Hospital.
“A total of 26 people have lost their lives and others are injured. The pilgrims were returning from Chandika Devi temple in Fatehpura. The injured people have been sent to Hallet hospital. The investigation is underway. Rescue work has been completed,” said Vishak G Iyer, District Magistrate, Kanpur.
Further details into the matter are awaited.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the relative of each of the dead person while the injured would be given Rs 50,000, said the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
“Distressed by the tractor-trolley mishap in Kanpur. My thoughts are with all those who have lost their near and dear ones. Prayers with the injured. The local administration is providing all possible assistance to the affected,” tweeted the PMO. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the senior officers have been instructed to reach the spot immediately.
“The road accident in Kanpur district is very heart-wrenching. The District Magistrate and other senior officers have been directed to reach the spot immediately and conduct relief and rescue operations on a war footing and make arrangements for proper treatment of the injured. Wishing a speedy recovery to the injured,” tweeted CM Yogi.
“The loss of life in this accident is very sad. My condolences are with the bereaved family. Praying to Lord Shri Ram to grant the departed souls a place at his feet and the families of the dead to bear this unfathomable loss,” he added.

To celebrate the 153rd birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday reached Raj Ghat. Gandhi Jayanti is observed every year on October 2 to mark the birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.
Meanwhile, President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday greeted citizens on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti and said it is an occasion for all to rededicate themselves to the values of peace, equality and communal harmony.
“On the occasion of the 153rd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, I pay homage to the Father of the Nation on behalf of all fellow citizens,” she said in a message to the nation.
Murmu said this year’s Gandhi Jayanthi holds special importance as it falls on India’s 75th year of independence. “The making of an Atmanirbhar Bharat, which is under way, is thus inspired by the vision of the Mahatma and is intended as a true tribute to him. The India of his dreams is a clean India, a healthy India. The initiatives taken in this regard have been bearing fruits now,” Murmu said.
Gandhiji was a forerunner of non-violence and truth. For the Indian liberation struggle, he founded the Satyagraha and Ahimsa movement. As the Father of the Nation, he spearheaded India’s independence struggle alongside many other national leaders in opposition to British rule in India.

A series of audio clips have been leaked over the last week of Pakistan leaders. (File)

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan on Saturday said that the leaked conversation between him and Azam Khan in the Prime Minister’s House was a breach of national security and pose a threat to the nation if such conversations are leaked publicly.
“It seems the secure connection of the Prime Minister House is recorded, which was later hacked and made public,” ARY News reported quoting Imran Khan.
Mr Khan further said that the contents of the cypher were made public after being presented before the National Security Committee as he discussed the conversations in the leaked audio tapes.
“I wanted to keep the matter secret at that time because of the OIC meeting in Pakistan,” Khan said as he defended himself on the audio leak controversy, ARY News reported.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf filed a petition on Saturday in the Supreme court seeking the judicial investigation in the Prime Minister’s house audio leak case and also sought criminal charges against PM Shehbaz Sharif and his team for hatching a “criminal conspiracy.”
A series of audio clips have been leaked over the last week, featuring Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz and former PM Imran Khan, which sparked widespread criticism from the opposition and raised questions about the cyber security of the house, Geo News reported.
One of the leaked audio in which PM Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and others were heard discussing PTI’s resignations.
In that audio, the leader also talked about ‘London’s permission’ to accept the resignations.
“…incumbent prime minister and his cabinet members […] can be heard discussing a heinous strategy to outplay the petitioner from the parliamentary politics in most illegal, unlawful and objectionable manner,” the PTI said in the petition about the audio leak as quoted by Geo News.
Earlier, Imran Khan’s audio leaked where he was heard speaking about the “US conspiracy” as the PTI chief said, “Let’s play with it”.
It is pertinent to mention that “US conspiracy” refers to the foreign conspiracy which Imran Khan termed as the conspiracy by the US to topple the PTI government and replace it with Shehbaz Sharif’s government in Pakistan.
According to The News International, in the latest leaked audio, Imran Khan could be heard directing his then principal secretary that they should play with the “cypher issue without taking the name of the United States.”
“Let’s play with it,” Imran Khan believed to be said in the audio, to which Azam Khan suggested that they should hold a meeting on the US cypher to bring it on record.
