Bloomberg released the list of the world’s 25 richest families. His wealth has increased by Rs 34.5 lakh crore this year. The Walton family, which runs consumer retail company Walmart, tops the list. It was at second place last year. The total net worth of this family was Rs 36.7 lakh crore. This is Rs 14.6 lakh crore more than last year.
The royal families of UAE and Qatar are at second and third place in the list. The Ambani family of the country is at 8th position with a net worth of Rs 8.45 lakh crore. The Mistry family of the country stood at 23rd position with a net worth of Rs 3.5 lakh crore. The family owns the Shapoorji Pallonji Group.

- Walton family: In 1950, Sam Walton started five and dime stores in America. There are now 10,600 stores worldwide. Walmart has a 46% stake.
