2 accused arrested for pulling mobile from moving train from Surat pedestrians, 7 crimes solved

Surat: Kapodra police have arrested two accused who were taking mobile phones from the hands of pedestrians passing by on the public road in the city and from the passengers of the running train. Police have seized one moped and 11 mobile phones from the accused. As many as 7 crimes have been solved in the police investigation.

The police nabbed the accused

Incidents of mobile snatching from the hands of pedestrians were coming to light in Surat city. Such accused used to snatch mobile phones and run away on mopeds or bikes. Then the Kapodra police have nabbed two such accused. While the Kapodra police staff were on patrol, acting on a tip-off, Om Prakash alias Vishal alias Chhapri Guruprasad Mishra and Raju alias Nanu Lalji living near Dindoli Nawagam were arrested.

Police seized 11 phones

The police seized the moped and 11 mobile phones used for snatching mobiles from the accused. After strict interrogation of the accused by the police, it was found that the accused used to target the pedestrians who were walking alone on such a road on a motorcycle and later snatched the mobile phone from their pocket and ran away.

Inquiry into the criminal history of the accused

Apart from this, the accused used to steal the mobile phones of the passengers from the running train from Udhana railway station. It has been revealed that both the arrested accused are habitual criminals. As many as 7 crimes have been solved in the police investigation. The police have also started an investigation in the direction of whether the accused has been involved in any such crime in the past and if any crime is found during the investigation, the police has prepared to take action in that matter as well. The police are constantly trying to arrest such accused and stop crime.
