Survey: Manufacturing recovers in November on strong demand
Manufacturing activity in India recovered in November as rising demand led to a stronger improvement in operating conditions. Input cost inflation slipped to a 40-month low. The S&P Global India Manufacturing PMI rose to 56 from 55.5, outpacing the series trend. The manufacturing sector rebounded strongly after the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, with GDP data showing a nine-quarter high of 13.9% in Q2. New export orders rose for the 20th month in a row, albeit at a slower rate.
