UAE changes immigration laws from tomorrow: How new rules could benefit Indians | World News

The United Arab Emirates’ (UAE)’s advanced visa system which was announced last month is set to come into effect on Monday. The new visa rules include a 10-year expanded golden visa scheme, a five-year green residency favourable for skilled workers and new multiple-entry tourist visa which will allow visitors to stay in the country for up to 90 days. The changes in the immigration laws can have a major impact on tourists as well as those who wish to work or live in the UAE.

Here are the key things that have changed under UAE’s new immigration laws:

1. The five-year green visa will allow foreigners to sponsor themselves without seeking help from UAE national or their employer. For this visa, freelancers, skilled worker and investors are eligible.
2. Additionally, green visa holders can also sponsor their family members.
3. In case, the permit for a green visa holder expires, they will be given a period of up to six months.
4. A 10-year expanded residency is offered under the golden visa for which investors, entrepreneurs, individuals with exceptional talents will be eligible.
5. Golden visa holders can sponsor family members and children.
6. Family members of a golden visa holder can also stay in UAE after the holder’s demise until the visa remains valid.
7. Golden visa holders will also enjoy the benefit of 100 per cent ownership of their businesses.
8. Tourist visas will now allow visitors to stay in UAE for 60 days.
9. A five-year multi-entry tourist visa will allow visitors to stay in the UAE for up to 90 days in a row.
10. The job exploration visa will allow professionals to seek employment in the UAE without a sponsor or host.

જ્યારે કેન્દ્રીય ગૃહમંત્રી અમિત શાહે આજે દિવસ દરમ્યાન અલગ અલગ બેઠકો યોજી હતી. જેમા વિધાનસભા ચૂંટણીનો સમગ્ર રોડમેપ નક્કી કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો. વિધાનસભા ચૂંટણીની તારીખો જાહેર થવામાં બસ હવે ગણતરીના દિવસો જ બાકી છે ત્યારે કેન્દ્રીય ગૃહમંત્રી અમિત શાહે ચૂંટણીની તૈયારીઓની કમાન પોતાના હાથમાં લીધી છે અને તૈયારીઓનો રોડમેપ નક્કી કરી રહ્યા છે.

કમલમમાં અમિત શાહની અધ્યક્ષતામાં બેઠકમાં મુખ્યમંત્રી ભૂપેન્દ્ર પટેલ સહિત ભાજપના તમામ હોદ્દેદારો, પ્રદેશના મહામંત્રીઓ ઉપસ્થિત રહ્યા હતા. જેમાં સરકાર અને સંગઠનના સમન્વય, બૂથ સ્તરની કામગીરી પર ભાર મુકવા, વર્તમાન પરિસ્થિતિની અંદર જે પણ જે આંતરિક વિરોધ છે તેને ખાળવા મુદ્દે નબળી બેઠકો ઉપર ક્યા સંયોજકો કે વિસ્તારકો મોકલવાની તે અંગે તેમજ ટીમ વર્કથી કામ કરવા સહિતનામુદ્દે ચર્ચા પર ભાર મુકવામાં આવ્યો હતો.

London mayor Sadiq Khan denied Queen's statue, a report said. Then, a barrage | World News

London mayor Sadiq Khan received social media abuse after reports incorrectly claimed that he might block a new statue of Queen Elizabeth II in the city. Some British newspapers reported that Sadiq Khan had denied a place for Queen Elizabeth II’s statue on Trafalgar Square’s fourth plinth which has showcased contemporary artworks since 1999.

Issuing a clarification Sadiq Khan‘s office said that the location of a statue for the late monarch was a decision for King Charles III and the royal family.

“Mayor of London has been repeatedly clear he stands ready to support the wishes of Royal Family whatever they are and will ensure our capital has a fitting tribute to our longest serving monarch,” his office tweeted.

Owing to the misleading reports, Sadiq Khan was accused of not being patriotic enough by social media users. The London mayor- whose grandparents were born in India and parents migrated from Pakistan to the UK- also faced racist slurs.

This comes less than a week after Sadiq Khan said that there had been 230,000 racist tweets about him since he took the role of London mayor in 2016. Inaccurate reporting that “demonised” him resulted in the hatred that he faced on social media, Sadiq Khan had said.

ગુજરાતમાં(Gujarat) કોરોનાના(Corona) કેસમાં સતત ઘટાડો થઈ રહ્યો છે. જેમાં 02 ઓકટોબરના રોજ કોરોનાના નવા 85 કેસ નોંધાયા છે. જયારે કોરોનાના એક્ટિવ કેસની સંખ્યા 808 થઇ છે. જ્યારે કોરોના રિકવરી રેટ 99.07 ટકા થયો છે. જ્યારે કોરોના રિકવરી રેટ 99. 07 ટકા થયો છે. જ્યારે આજે કોરોનાથી 86 દર્દીઓ સાજા થયા છે. જ્યારે આજે નોંધાયેલા કોરોનાના નવા કેસની વાત કરીએ તો અમદાવાદમાં 24,(Ahmedabad)સુરતમાં 21, વડોદરામાં 16, ગાંધીનગરમાં 4, મહેસાણામાં 3, રાજકોટમાં 3, ભાવનગરમાં 2, ગાંધીનગરમાં 2, સુરત જિલ્લામાં 2, સુરેન્દ્રનગરમાં 2, જુનાગઢમાં 1, કચ્છમાં 1, પંચમહાલમાં 1, પાટણમાં 1 અને વલસાડમાં 1 કેસ નોંધાયો છે. જ્યારે સાબરકાંઠામાં કોરોનાના કારણે 1 દર્દીનું મોત થયું છે. આ ઉપરાંત રાજ્યના અનેક જિલ્લામાં કોરોનાનો એક પણ કેસ નોંધાયો નથી. જેના લીધે વહીવટીતંત્રએ રાહતનો દમ લીધો છે. તેમજ હાલ રાજ્યના કોરોનાના રોકથામ માટે કોરોનાના બુસ્ટર ડોઝની કામગીરી પણ ચાલી રહી છે.

નવરાત્રી અને અન્ય તહેવારોમાં સાચવજો

હાલ નવરાત્રીનો તહેવાર ચાલી રહ્યો છે. તમામ ગુજરાતીઓ કોરોના મહામારીના લગભગ 2 વર્ષ બાદ મન મૂકીને ગરબા રમી રમ્યા છે. આ વચ્ચે નવરાત્રીના આયોજનમાં ભીડ જમા થઈ છે. જેના કારણે કોરોના સંક્રમણમાં પણ વધારો થઈ શકે છે. તેથી તહેવારો દરમિયાન કોરોના નિયમોનું પાલન કરી સાવચેત રહેવાની જરુર છે.

Twitter Posts First-Ever Edited Tweet. See Changes.

Twitter has posted its first-ever edited tweet, weeks after the microblogging company announced that it was actively testing an edit button. The tweet by the Twitter Blue handle on Friday was edited after it was posted, demostrating how the feature will actually work.

 The tweet had a pencil icon and ‘Last Edited’ label at the bottom, which when clicked on showed what changes were made to the post.

The feature is still not available to the general public and the company had mentioned earlier that it will be available to Twitter Blue users first. To use the edit button, users will need to pay $4.99 per month for the Twitter Blue service, at least initially.

Twitter, earlier this month, had said the trial of “Edit Tweet” will begin with internal employees, then be expanded out to the platform’s “Twitter Blue” subscription population.

Twitter Blue is yet to be launched in India but the subscription offering is available in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zeeland.

“Edit Tweet is a feature that lets people make changes to their Tweet after it’s been published,” the company said on its blog. “Think of it as a short period of time to do things like fix typos, add missed tags, and more.”

Under the revision, users could edit a tweet “a few times” in the 30 minutes after the initial posting, in ways that transparently note the changes to “help protect the integrity of the conversation and create a publicly accessible record of what was said,” the company said.

Organs Of Delhi AIIMS Official's Sister Saves Four Lives

New Delhi:

Organs of a senior Delhi AIIMS official’s sister who was declared brain dead a few days ago were donated, giving a fresh lease of life to four people and vision to two.

Snehlata Choudhary, sister of Rabindra Agarwal, an IAS officer posted as the additional director of administration at AIIMS here, had sustained a severe head injury during her morning walk last month.

The 63-year-old was initially operated for head injury in Jharkhand’s Jamshedpur and then airlifted to AIIMS Trauma Centre for further treatment, a senior doctor said.

Choudhary was health conscious and used to go for morning walks regularly for the last 25 years. “Despite best efforts, her condition did not improve and was declared brain dead on September 30,” the doctor said.

She was a home maker and a social worker. “She was a strong supporter of the eye donation campaign and supported the cause of organ donation throughout her life. She had also qualified for Kaun Banega Crorepati,” the doctor added.

Choudhary’s heart, a kidney and corneas were donated to patients at AIIMS, while her liver will be utilised in the Army RR Hospital. Her second kidney was given to a patient at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, according to the arrangement by National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation.

The forensic medicine team conducted virtual autopsy – computed tomography and also carried out post-mortem during organ retrieval, the doctor said.

Donation of organs by a bureaucrat’s family member comes at a time when the government is trying to create awareness around the issue.

“Since April, 12 donations have taken place at AIIMS Trauma Centre, Delhi, the highest here since 1994. The team at the trauma centre has made major changes in brain death certification and organ procurement processes, leading to sustained increased numbers now,” the doctor said.

The organ procurement services at AIIMS Trauma Centre is led by Professor of Neurosurgery Dr Deepak Gupta.

In India, one person dies from road accident every three minutes, amounting to 1.50 lakh such death every year, but only 700 organ donations take place. Awareness is the need of hour, another doctor said.
