જામનગર જિલ્લા કલેકટર કચેરી ખાતે પ્રવાસન, સાંસ્કૃતિક વારસો, વન અને પર્યાવરણ, ક્લાઇમેટ ચેન્જ વિભાગના મંત્રી અને જામનગર જિલ્લાના પ્રભારી મંત્રી મુળુભાઈ બેરાની અધ્યક્ષતામાં સુજલામ સુફલામ જળઅભિયાન-2023 અંતર્ગત સમીક્ષા બેઠકનું આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. આ બેઠકમાં મંત્રીએ કલેકટર ડૉ. સૌરભ પારઘી, જિલ્લા વિકાસ અધિકારી ડો. મિહિર પટેલ તેમજ અન્ય વિભાગના પદાધિકારીઓ અને અધિકારીઓ સાથે સુજલામ સુફલામ જળઅભિયાનના વિભાગવાર કામો અંગે સમીક્ષા કરી હતી.
આ બેઠકમાં મંત્રીએ જામનગર જિલ્લામાં સુજલામ સુફલામ જળઅભિયાન અંતર્ગત મનરેગાની કામગીરી, ડીપાર્ટમેન્ટલ કામગીરી, વન વિભાગ, કયા કામો પ્રગતિ હેઠળ છે તેમજ પૂર્ણ થયેલા કામો અંગે માહિતી મેળવીને જામનગર જિલ્લામાં જળસંચયના કામોને અગ્રિમતા આ૫વામાં આવે તે બાબતે ચર્ચા વિચારણા કરી હતી. ચોમાસા દરમ્યાન વરસાદના પાણીનો મહત્તમ સંગ્રહ કરી ભૂગર્ભ જળ ઘ્વારા વઘુમાં વઘુ રીચાર્જ થાય અને પાણીના જળ ઉંચા આવે તે પ્રકારની જળસંચયની કામગીરી માટે પગલાં લેવા માટે મંત્રીએ માર્ગદર્શન આપ્યું હતું. તેમજ જામનગર શહેરમાં વરસાદી પાણીનો કયા પ્રકારે સંગ્રહ કરવો જેથી કરીને પાણીનો વયે ન થાય તે બાબતે મેયર બીનાબેન કોઠારી સાથે ચર્ચા વિચારણા કરી હતી. આ બેઠકમાં મેયર બીનાબેન કોઠારી, જિલ્લા પંચાયતના પ્રમુખ ધમરશીભાઈ ચનિયારા, ધારાસભ્ય મેઘજીભાઈ ચાવડા, અધિક નિવાસી કલેકટર બી. એન. ખેર તેમજ વિવિધ વિભાગના પદાધિકારીઓ અને અધિકારીઓ હાજર રહ્યા હતા.
ગાંધીનગરનાં પોલીસ ભવન ખાતે ત્રિનેત્રમાં ફરજ બજાવતા એસઆરપીએફ ગ્રુપ – 16 ના કોન્સ્ટેબલનું પણ ઘર આગળથી બાઈક ચોરાઈ જતાં સેકટર – 7 પોલીસ મથકમાં ફરિયાદ દાખલ કરાઈ છે. ગુજરાત પોલીસ દળના VISWAS પ્રોજેકટ અંતર્ગત કાર્યરત કરાયેલા ત્રિનેત્ર-ઇન્ટીગ્રેટેડ કમાન્ડ એન્ડ કંટ્રોલ સેન્ટર (i3C) ને ભારત સરકારના નેશનલ ઇ-ગર્વનન્સ ગોલ્ડ એવોર્ડનું ગૌરવ સન્માન મળ્યું છે.VISWAS Project અંતર્ગત 34-જિલ્લાના મુખ્ય મથકો, 6-પવિત્ર યાત્રાધામો અને સ્ટેચ્યુ ઓફ યુનિટી, કેવડિયા મળી કુલ 41-શહેરોમાં ટ્રાફિક જંકશન, એન્ટ્રી-એક્ઝિટ પોઇન્ટ અને અન્ય સ્ટ્રેટેજિક સ્થળોએ 7,000+ CCTV કેમેરા લગાવી, સંબંધિત જિલ્લાના “નેત્રમ” થી જોડવામાં આવ્યા છે.
તમામ જિલ્લાઓના ‘નેત્રમ’ ને ગાંધીનગર સ્થિત Trinetra સાથે integrate કરવામાં આવેલ છે.ત્રિનેત્ર ખાતે સી.સી.ટીવી કેમેરા, બોડી વોર્ન કેમેરા તથા ડ્રોન કેમેરાની લાઇવ વિડીયો ફીડ જોઇ શકાય છે. ત્યારે અહીં એટેચમાં ફરજ બજાવતા એસઆરપી ગૃપ – 16નાં કોન્સ્ટેબલનું બાઈક ચોરાઈ જતાં ખુદ પોલીસને પોલીસ સ્ટેશનમાં ફરિયાદ નોંધાવવાનો વખત આવ્યો છે.
ગાંધીનગરના સેકટર – 14 પ્લોટ નંબર 109/2 ખાતે રહેતા કિરણસિંહ રંગતસિંહ રાજસિંહ વાઘેલા એસ.આરપીએફ.ગૃપ-16 ભચાઉમાં પોલીસ કોન્સ્ટેબલ તરીકે ફરજ બજાવે છે. અને હાલમાં એટેચમાં પોલીસ ભવન ખાતે ત્રિનેત્રમાં ફરજ પર છે. ગત તા. 29 મી માર્ચે નોકરીથી પરત ફરી રાત્રીના સમયે તેમણે પોતાનું બાઇક ઘર આગળ પાર્ક કર્યું હતું.

Unaware of his mistake, Joe Biden said again, “The town of Rolling Stone will be back, and we’ll be with you every step of the way.”
Towards the end of his speech, Joe Biden realised his mistake and said, “What did I say, I said Rolling Fork. Rolling Stone. I got my mind going here.”
Rolling Fork was hit by a devastating tornado last week which killed at least 25 people, according to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.
“The west part of Rolling Fork is a residential area, and just a number of houses over there have been completely destroyed. Highway 61, where most of our businesses are, all of the businesses on 61 have been completely destroyed,” Fred Miller, former Rolling Fork mayor said.

સૌરાષ્ટ્ર ચેમ્બર ઓફ કોમર્સ એન્ડ ઇન્ડસ્ટ્રી દ્રારા જવેલર્સ માટે BIS હોલમાર્કિંગમાં HUIDનો અમલ હાલ પૂરતો મુલતવી રાખવા ડાયરેક્ટર જનરલ બ્યુરો ઓફ ઇન્ડિયન સ્ટાન્ડર્ડ(BIS) ન્યુ દિલ્હીને રજૂઆત કરવામાં આવી હતી એ સાથે કેન્દ્રીય મંત્રી પીયુષ ગોયલ અને ગુજરાત ચેમ્બર ઓફ કોમર્સનાં પ્રમુખ પથિક પટવારીને પત્ર પાઠવી રજૂઆત કરવામાં આવી છે.
નાના જવેલર્સને પડતી મુશ્કેલીઓ અંગે રજૂઆત
ભાવનગર શહેર જિલ્લાના વિવિધ જવેલર્સ એસોસિએશનનાં હોદ્દેદારો અને અગ્રગણ્ય જવેલર્સનાં પ્રતિનિધિઓ દ્વારા આગામી તા.1 લી એપ્રિલ-2023 થી બ્યુરો ઓફ ઇન્ડિયન સ્ટાન્ડર્ડ (BIS) દ્વારા સોનાની સુદ્ધતા માટે BIS હોલમાર્કિંગનો 6 અંકોનો HUID અમલમાં આવનાર હોય જેના અમલીકરણમાં અનેક વિસંગતતાઓ અંગે અને તેમાં નાના જવેલર્સને પડતી મુશ્કેલીઓ અંગે રજૂઆત કરવામાં આવી હતી, પ્રશ્નની ગંભીરતાને ધ્યાને લઇ સૌરાષ્ટ્ર ચેમ્બર દ્વારા તુરંત જ તેના નિરાકરણ માટે બ્યુરો ઓફ ઇન્ડિયન સ્ટાન્ડર્ડ ન્યુ દિલ્હીના ડાયરેક્ટર જનરલ પ્રમોદકુમાર તિવારી(IAS)ને પત્ર પાઠવી વિવિધ મુદ્દાઓ અંગે પત્ર પાઠવી રજૂઆત કરવામાં આવી હતી.
મર્યાદા 10 ગ્રામ સુધી હોવી જોઈએ આ નિયમના કારણે નાના વેપારીઓને ખુબ જ મુશ્કેલીઓ પડશે. હાલમાં 2 ગ્રામ સુધીના દાગીનાને હોલમાર્કમાંથી મુક્તિ આપવામાં આવેલ છે જે મર્યાદા 10 ગ્રામ સુધી હોવી જોઈએ, ઘાટની કેટલીક આઈટમોમાં 10 ગ્રામ સુધી હોલમાર્કિંગ કરવું ખુબ જ મુશ્કેલ છે જે માટે આ પ્રકારની આઈટમોમાં છૂટછાટ આપવી જોઈએ, આ નિયમ ફક્ત 50 લાખથી વધારે ટર્નઓવર ધરાવતા વેપારીઓ માટે જ હોવો જોઈએ.
હોલમાર્કિંગ માટેની કચેરીઓની સંખ્યા ખુબ જ ઓછી આ પત્રમાં વિશેષમાં જણાવાયું છે કે, રાજ્યમાં હોલમાર્કિંગ માટેની કચેરીઓની સંખ્યા ખુબ જ ઓછી હોવાથી અધિકારીઓ વેપારી પાસેથી ઘરેણામાંથી નમુના લઇ જાય છે અને તે લાંબા સમય સુધી સંબંધિત કચેરીમાં પડ્યા રહે છે જેના કારણે વેપારીઓને તકલીફ પડે છે, BIS હોલમાર્કની એપ્લીકેશનમાં મેન્યુફેક્ચરર કે ટ્રેડર્સનું નામ બતાવવામાં આવે છે તે બંધ થવું જોઈએ કારણ કે તેનાથી વેપારીઓની પ્રાઈવસી જળવાતી નથી. આ ઉપરાંત HUID કોડના અમલીકરણ માટે ત્રણ માસનો સમયગાળો એટલે 1 જુલાઈ 2023 સુધી વધારવા અને ઉપરોક્ત સૂચનોના અમલીકરણ અંગે વિસ્તૃત રજૂઆત કરવામાં આવી હતી.
Making its presence felt in the highly competitive global defence market, India exported military hardware worth ₹15,920 crore in the financial year 2022-23, the highest ever and a notable tenfold increase since 2016-17, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday attributing the surge to enthusiasm for Make in India, and key reforms to spur growth in the sector.

“Excellent! A clear manifestation of India’s talent and the enthusiasm towards ‘Make in India.’ It also shows the reforms in this sector over the last few years are delivering good results. Our government will keep supporting efforts to make India a defence production hub,” the PM wrote on Twitter.
Union defence minister Rajnath Singh said that the defence exports hitting an all-time high was “a remarkable achievement” for the country, and they would continue to grow exponentially.
The country’s defence exports were a mere ₹1,521 crore in 2016-17, but there was a marked improvement in performance in the following years on the back of government policies to boost exports. The exports slipped during 2019-21 before climbing back to healthier levels.
India’s defence exports in 2017-18 stood at ₹4,682 crore, ₹10,745 crore in 2018-19, ₹9,115 crore in 2019-20, ₹8,434 crore in 2020-21, and ₹12,814 crore in 2021-22, according to government data.
India is currently exporting military hardware, including missiles, the advanced light helicopter (ALH), offshore patrol vessels, personal protective gear, surveillance systems and a variety of radars to around 85 countries. Weapons and systems that hold export potential include the light combat aircraft Tejas, different types of helicopters, artillery guns, Astra beyond-visual-range air-to-air missiles, Akash surface-to-air missile systems, tanks, sonars and radars.
India has a good strategy and action plan in place, backed by forward-looking policies, to ensure self-reliance in defence, and boost the country’s status as a net exporter of weapons in the coming years, military affairs expert Lieutenant General Vinod Bhatia (retd) earlier said.
India is in talks with Egypt and Argentina for the possible sale of LCA Tejas to their air forces as the country sharpens its focus on increasing its share in foreign markets. Egypt has projected a requirement for 20 aircraft while Argentina needs 15 new fighters. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), the public sector aerospace and defence company, is also looking at exporting Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH) to the Philippines.
Last year, BrahMos Aerospace and the Philippines signed a deal worth almost $375 million for the Philippine Marines to buy three batteries of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile, and Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited won an export order worth $155.5 million for supplying 155mm artillery guns, the first such order for an Indian firm.
In 2020, the Union cabinet, headed by PM Modi, gave its go-ahead to the export of Akash missile systems and also created a high-powered panel for swifter export approvals.
The focus on boosting exports comes alongside a big thrust on the indigenisation of weapons and systems. Categories, where imports have been almost replaced by domestic products, include warships, artillery guns, LCA, basic trainer aircraft, a variety of helicopters, radars, and different types of ammunition.
Moreover, the defence ministry on Thursday signed a raft of contracts for indigenous military hardware worth ₹32,100 crore, including warships, supersonic missiles for the navy, and surface-to-air missiles and weapon locating radars for the army, the latest in a series of deals concluded in March ahead of the financial year-end.
In all, in March this year, the defence ministry signed contracts worth almost ₹52,000 crore for locally made military hardware, including basic trainer aircraft, a satellite for the army, training ships, medium-power radars, radar warning receivers, air defence systems, and Dornier aircraft.
Progress in achieving self-reliance goals, and boosting defence exports was reviewed at the three-day Combined Commanders’ Conference in Bhopal, officials said.
India has earmarked 75% of this year’s defence capital procurement budget for locally made weapons and systems, a move aimed at unlocking new opportunities for achieving self-reliance targets and ramping up the country’s defence exports.
The share of the domestic sector in the defence budget was never higher. India set aside 68% of the military’s capital acquisition budget for making indigenous purchases in 2022-23, 64% in 2021-22, and 58% in 2020-21.
Around ₹1 lakh crore has been set aside for domestic procurement this year, compared to ₹84,598 crore, ₹70,221 crore and ₹51,000 crore in the three previous years.
The government has also notified hundreds of weapons and systems that cannot be imported, a move aimed at boosting indigenous defence manufacturing.
To be sure, India’s arms imports have fallen over the years, but the country is still the world’s biggest importer of military hardware, according to a report published in March by the well-known think tank Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.
નાયબ મામલતદારના ઘરે ચોરી કરનાર પાંચ શકમંદો સીસીટીવીમાં કેદ.
ઓલપાડના નાયબ મામલતદાર સપરિવાર રજા માણવા માટે સેવણી ગામે ફાર્મ હાઉસમાં ગયા હતા. દરમિયાન તેમના ઘરે ત્રાટકેલાં તસ્કરો 4.13 લાખની કિંમતના દાગીના અને રોકડા 36 હજાર મળી કુલ્લે 4.48 લાખની મત્તા ચોરી ગયા હતા. આ તસ્કરો સીસીટીવીમાં કેદ થઈ જતાં પોલીસે તપાસ હાથ ધરી છે.
રજા માણવા ગયા ને તસ્કરો હાથફેરો કરી ગયા ઉત્રાણ આદિત્ય નગરમાં રહેતાં ભાવેશ ઇટાલીયા ઓલપાડના નાયબ મામલતદાર તરીકે નોકરી કરે છે. રાત્રે નવ વાગ્યે તેઓ પરિવાર સાથે સેવણી ગામમાં આવેલાં ફાર્મ હાઉસમાં રજાનો આનંદ લેવાને ઇરાદે પહોંચ્યા હતા. ગત રોજ સાડા બાર વાગ્યે પાડોશી દ્વારા તેમને ફોન કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો અને તેમના ઘરના દરવાજાનો નકુચો તૂટેલો હોવાનું જણાવતાં ભાવેશભાઇ ઉતાવળે તેમની પત્ની દિપાલીબેન સાથે દોડી આવ્યા હતા.
તસ્કરો થોડા દિવસ પહેલાં રેકી કરવા પણ આવ્યા હતા.
સોનાની દાગીના સહિત રોકડાની ચોરી ઘરમાં પ્રવેશ કરતાં ઘરનો સામાન અસ્તવ્યસ્ત હતો. કબાટ અને કિંમતી દાગીના સાથે રોકડ જેમાં મૂક્યા હતા તે લોખંડના પેટી પલંગની તોડફોડ કરવામાં આવી હતી. બધું મળીને 4,48,800 રૂપિયાની મત્તા ચોરી થઇ હતી. ઉત્રાણ પોલીસ મથકને જાણ કરવામાં આવતાં પોલીસ કાફલો ઘટના સ્થળે દોડી આવ્યો હતો. પોલીસે આસપાસના સીસીટીવી ચેક કરતાં પાંચ શકમંદો ચોરી કરવા આવતાં કેદ થઇ ગયા હતા.
હાલોલ-વડોદરા રોડ ઉપર આવેલા હાલોલ ટોલનાકા પાસે આજે એક દૂધ ભરેલું ટેન્કર ડિવાઈડર ઉપર ચડી જતા મોટો અકસ્માત સર્જાતા રહી ગયો હતો. રાંધણગેસના બાટલ લઈ જતા ટેમ્પો ચાલકે ઉતાવળે ટેન્કર આગળ નીકળવા જતા એક કિયા કારને ઘસરકો મારી દેતા ટેન્કર ચાલકે મોટી દુર્ઘટના ટાળવા ગાડી ડિવાઈડર ઉપર ચડાવી દેતા દૂધ ભરેલા ટેન્કરને ક્રેઇન વડે બહાર કાઢવામાં આવ્યું હતું.
હાલોલ ટોલ પ્લાઝા પાસે ગોધરા જઈ રહેલા દૂધ ભરેલા ટેન્કરને ઓવરટેક કરીને નીકળવા જતા ગેસના સિલિન્ડર ભરીને જતા ટેમ્પા ચાલકે એક કારને ઘસરકો મારી બ્રેક કરી દેતા દૂધ ભરેલા ટેન્કર ચાલકે ટેન્કર ટેમ્પો સાથે ન ભટકાય તે માટે ડિવાઈડર ઉપર ચડાવી દેતા ટેન્કર અને સિલિન્ડર ભરેલા ટેમ્પો વચ્ચે અકસ્માત નડ્યો હતો.
ટોલ પ્લાઝા પાસે અકસ્માત થતા એક તબક્કે વડોદરા તરફથી હાલોલ આવી ગયેલા વાહનોની કતાર લાગી હતી. ટોલ પ્લાઝા દ્વારા વૈકલ્પીક વ્યવસ્થા કરી વડોદરા તરફના એન્ટ્રી ગેટમાંથી વાહનો કઢાવવા પડ્યા હતા. ડિવાઈડર ઉપર ચડી ગયેલા ટેન્કરને બહાર કાઢવા ક્રેઇનની મદદ લેવામાં આવી હતી.
નિવૃત્તિને લોકો આરામ અને કામને વિરામ આપવાનો સમયગાળો માને છે. પણ હકીકતે કેટલાંક લોકોના માટે નિવૃત્તિ એટલે નોકરી બાદ સમાજ હિતકારી નવી નવી પ્રવૃત્તિઓમાં જોડાવવું એવું થાય છે. નેચર ફર્સ્ટ ઝુંબેશ સાથે જોડાયેલા નિવૃત્ત કર્મચારીઓએ આ વાતને ખરી સાબિત કરી બતાવી છે.
જૂનાગઢના પ્રાગદાસબાપા ગોદડિયા અન્નક્ષેત્રની પ્રેરણાથી શરૂ થયેલ નેચર ફર્સ્ટ અભિયાન આજે રાજ્યના ચાર શહેરોમાં પ્લાસ્ટિક મુક્તિ માટે કાર્ય કરી રહ્યું છે. રાજ્યના પૂર્વ ગૃહ રાજ્યમંત્રી મહેન્દ્ર ત્રિવેદી અને એગ્રો સીડ્સ પ્રાઇવેટ લિમિટેડના ચેરમેન એન. પી. પટેલ આ ઝુંબેશના સંચાલક બનીને પ્લાસ્ટિક મુક્તિની સાથે અનુકૂળ અને સ્વસ્થ પર્યાવરણ માટે નવી પેઢી તૈયાર કરી રહ્યા છે. હાલ નેચર ફર્સ્ટની પ્રવૃતિઓ રાજ્યના ચાર શહેરો જુનાગઢ, ભાવનગર, હારીજ અને ગાંધીનગરમાં ચાલે છે.
ગાંધીનગરમાં દર શનિવારે અને અન્ય શહેરોમાં દર રવિવારે નિવૃત્ત કર્મચારીઓ અને સ્વયં સેવકો પ્લાસ્ટિક મુક્તિ માટે આગળ આવે છે. શહેરના વિસ્તારોમાં જઈને પ્લાસ્ટિક કચરો એકઠો કરાય છે અને આ પ્લાસ્ટિકને રિસાયકલ માટે મોકલવામાં આવે છે. આ સિવાય નેચર ફર્સ્ટ દ્વારા પાણી બચાવવા માટેના જાગૃતિ અભિયાનો, હવા પ્રદૂષણને રોકવા વાહન ચાલકોને સમજ આપવી, વૃક્ષારોપણ અને વૃક્ષોના જતન માટે લોક ઝુંબેશ તેમજ પરંપરાગત સ્ત્રોતોના ઉપયોગ માટે જાગૃતિ અભિયાનો હાથ ધરાય છે.
નેચર ફર્સ્ટના સંચાલક મહેન્દ્ર ત્રિવેદી જણાવે છે કે નેચર ફર્સ્ટ એ પ્રકૃતિને પ્રેમ કરવાનું એક વિચાર આંદોલન છે, જેમાં જેને જોડાવવું હોય તે જોડાઈ શકે છે. આ કોઈ એનજીઓ કે સંસ્થા નથી પણ પ્રકૃતિને બચાવવાનું એક જનહિતાર્થ મંચ છે. પ્રકૃતિની ચિંતા કરતાં તેઓ કહે છે કે ગ્લોબલ વોર્મિંગને લીધે આજે કમોસમી વરસાદ પડી રહ્યો છે. લોકો આ વાતને સમજતા થયા છે એમ એમ સામે ચાલીને પ્રકૃતિની સેવામાં જોડાતા થયા છે. તેઓ વધુમાં કહે છે કે પ્રકૃતિ પાંચ તત્ત્વો પૃથ્વી, વાયુ, અગ્નિ, જળ, આકાશની બનેલી છે અને આ પાંચેય તત્વોનું માનવ શરીર પણ બનેલું છે.
આ પાંચેય તત્વોને જેટલા સાચવીશું અને જેટલો પ્રેમ કરીશું, એની જેટલી કાળજી લઈશું એટલી જ સલામત પ્રકૃતિ આવનારી પેઢી માટે છોડી જઈશું.
નિવૃત કર્મચારીઓ, સામાજિક આગેવાનો અને હાલ સેવા આપી રહેલા કર્મચારીઓ પણ સમય કાઢીને દર શનિવારે નેચર ફર્સ્ટની પ્રવૃત્તિઓમાં જોડાય છે. આજે ગાંધીનગરમાં એમનો 86મો શનિવાર હતો. દર શનિવારે એક કલાક પ્લાસ્ટિક એકત્ર કરવાનો કાર્યક્રમ રખાય છે.
આ ઉપરાંત જે લોકો શોપિંગ મોલ, દુકાનોમાં વગેરે જગ્યાએ ખરીદી કરવા આવે છે તેમની પાસેથી પ્લાસ્ટિકની થેલી લઈને કપડાંની થેલી રિપ્લેસ કરી આપવામાં આવે છે. થેલી આપ્યા બાદ પ્લાસ્ટિકના ઉપયોગને ટાળવા માટે લોકો સુધી એક સંદેશો પહોંચાડવામાં આવે છે. નેચર ફર્સ્ટ દ્વારા 11 હજાર જેટલી કપડાંની થેલીઓ લોકોમાં વહેંચીને પર્યાવરણ પ્રત્યે સજાગ કરાયા છે.
છેલ્લા ઘણા સમયથી નેચર ફર્સ્ટ સાથે જોડાયેલા ઇન્ડિયન રેડ ક્રોસ સોસાયટીની જિલ્લા શાખાના ચેરમેન જીલુભા ધાંધલ જણાવે છે કે ગાંધીનગરના સન્માનનીય વડીલો, જવાબદાર વ્યક્તિઓ, સમયનું દાન આપી, રાજ્યને પ્લાસ્ટિક મુક્ત બનાવી અને પર્યાવરણને બચાવવાનું ભગીરથ કાર્ય કરી રહ્યા છે.
યુવા સ્વયંસેવક અશોકભાઇ ચાવડા છેલ્લા 8 મહિનાથી દરેક શનિવારે સવારે નેચર ફર્સ્ટની પ્રવૃતિઓમાં આવે છે. તેઓ ઉત્સાહપૂર્વક કહે છે કે દર શનિવારે આયોજક દ્વારા શહેરનો એક પોઈન્ટ આપી દેવામાં આવે છે અને બધા લોકો સમયસર પહોંચીને પ્લાસ્ટિક વીણવાનું કાર્ય કરે છે. પ્લાસ્ટિકની બોટલ, પ્લાસ્ટિકની થેલીઓ વગેરેની ભેગા કરીને રિસાયકલ યુનિટ સુધી પહોંચાડવામાં આવે છે.
Many Republicans in the U.S. Congress have responded to Donald Trump‘s looming Tuesday arraignment by characterizing the criminal justice system as corrupt, in accusations that parallel their earlier broadsides against the nation’s elections after the former president’s 2020 defeat.
Trump and his allies in the House of Representatives and Senate have used rhetoric that echoed his false claims of widespread election fraud in the build-up to the deadly Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the U.S. Capitol by his supporters.
Critics warn that the present partisan rhetoric could shake public trust in courts by undermining the institutional legitimacy of the criminal justice system.
“Trump’s indictment is the culmination of 6 years of the Democrats weaponizing law enforcement to target and persecute their political enemies. Dictatorships operate like this – the US is supposed to be different,” tweeted Senator Ted Cruz, a hardline Republican who voted to overturn 2020 election results.
Trump says he is innocent of the expected New York charges – which revolve around hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels during his 2016 presidential campaign. Details of the charges are as yet unclear.
He says the investigation and three other probes involving his attempts to overturn his 2020 election defeat and his retention of classified documents after leaving the White House are all politically motivated.
Most Democrats have warned against challenging the legitimacy of the institutions of government in defense of Trump, who routinely pushed up against the guard rails of democracy during his four years in the White House and was twice impeached by Congress.
“Political leaders ought to stand up for the American system of government,” said Democratic Representative Zoe Lofgren, a member of the House Judiciary Committee who also served on the congressional investigation of the Jan. 6 attack.
“Undercutting the system of government is a serious matter and a threat to our future,” she said in an interview.
Trump has been unrestrained in his rhetoric in recent weeks, calling for protests and warning of potential “death & destruction” if he were to be charged.
He used fiery language hours before his supporters stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, in a bid to overturn his election defeat. Five people including a police officer died during or shortly after that riot and more than 140 police officers were injured. The Capitol suffered millions of dollars in damage.
Focus on bragg
Most Republicans have trained their invective on Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, accusing the prosecutor of mounting a politically motivated investigation aimed at preventing Trump from being re-elected to the White House in 2024.
After Trump on March 18 announced that he expected to be arrested in days, the Republican-controlled House launched its own probe of Bragg’s grand jury investigation, seeking documents and testimony. They have called Bragg’s move “an unprecedented abuse of prosecutorial authority” and said the indictment followed years of the office searching for any basis on which to bring charges.
Democrats questioned whether Congress has the authority to investigate a state-level investigation, particularly one conducted under secretive grand jury rules.
Bragg, a Democrat, on Friday warned Republican Representatives Jim Jordan, James Comer and Bryan Steil, who are leading the probe, against attacking the criminal justice system.
“You and many of your colleagues have chosen to collaborate with Mr. Trump’s efforts to vilify and denigrate the integrity of elected state prosecutors and trial judges,” the Manhattan prosecutor wrote.
House Republicans continued to push back. Firebrand Marjorie Taylor Greene said she planned to protest against Trump’s court appearance on Tuesday, while Brian Mast went further and told CNN he would not accept the outcome of a jury trial, saying “I don’t have a trust that a jury will make a fair assessment of this.”
Not all Republicans were so quick to cast doubt on the courts.
Former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson issued a statement that called for patience and underscored the legal principle that Trump, as a defendant, should be presumed innocent.
“We need to wait on the facts and for our American system of justice to work like it does for thousands of Americans every day,” said Hutchinson, who is considering his own 2024 White House run.
Historians including Princeton University professor Julian Zelizer said Republican statements about Bragg and the criminal justice system follow a long-established partisan line.
“The party has invested a great deal in attacking the legitimacy of institutions, which is why Trump fit well into the party and continues to be popular,” Zelizer said in an email.
Nicole Hemmer, director of the Rogers Center for the American Presidency at Vanderbilt University, warned that Republican attacks on the U.S. criminal justice system could ultimately have dire consequences for courts and juries.
“This is the end-game of the ‘deep state’ rhetoric that Donald Trump has deployed since 2016 to sow those seeds of distrust in institutions of accountability,” Hemmer said.
“We haven’t yet seen a cataclysmic moment in this rejection of the courts. But we are starting to see the steps toward it, as we saw the steps toward Jan. 6 coming from a long way off.”
ઉનાળાની શરૂઆત સાથેજ પાણી પ્રશ્ને પ્રજા પરેશાની ભોગવતી હોવાની ફરિયાદો વિવિધ સ્થળેથી સામે આવી રહી છે. એક તરફ પાણીની તંગી શરૂ થઈ છે તો બીજી તરફ નખત્રાણાથી અંદાજિત ત્રણ કિલોમીટર દૂર ભુજ ધોરીમાર્ગ નજીક નર્મદાનું પાણી વહન કરતી GWILLની પાણીની પાઇપ લાઈનના એરવાલ્વમાં છેલ્લા કેટલાક દિવસથી ભંગાળ સર્જાયુ હોવાનું પસાર થતા લોકોને દેખાઈ રહ્યું છે. એરવાલ્વમાં લિકેજના કારણે મહામુલું પાણી ધોધરૂપી વહી રહ્યું છે. પીવાના પાણીના અવિરત વેડફાટથી લોકોમાં કચવાટની લાગણી ફેલાઇ છે. ત્યારે સંબધિત તંત્ર દ્વારા આ પ્રશ્ને તાકીદે નિવારણ લાવી પાણી, વહેતુ પાણી અટકાવાય એવી માગ ઉઠી છે.
પાણીનો વેડફાટ થતો હોવાનું જાણી લોકોએ નિવારણ લાવવા માંગ કરી આ મામલે હાઇવે પરથી પસાર થતા વાહનચાલકોએ કહ્યું હતું કે, છેલ્લા કેટલાક દિવાથી નખત્રાણા ભુજ ધોરીમાર્ગ પર વચ્ચે આવતા પાણીના એરવાલ્વમાં લિકેજના કારણે પાણી વહી રહ્યું છે. એક તબક્કે તંત્ર દ્વારા પશુ પક્ષી માટે મોટું મન રાખી વાલ્વ ખુલ્લા કરાયા હોવાનું માની ઘટનાને નજરઅંદાજ કરી હતી. પરંતુ દિવસ રાત સતત પાણી વહેતુ હોવાનું જાણી આ વિશે દિવ્ય ભાસ્કરનું ધ્યાન દોર્યું હતું. અલબત્ત તંત્ર દ્વારા લીકેજ એરવાલ્વનું સમારકામ હાથ ધરી વેડફાટ અટકાવવા લોકોએ માગ કરી હતી. ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે છેલ્લા કેટલાક મહિનાઓથી એરવાલ્વ લિકેજની સમસ્યામાં રાહત હતી. પરંતુ હવે ઉનાળાના પ્રારંભેજ ફરી આ સમસ્યા સર્જાઈ હોવાનું જાણવા મળ્યું છે.

Addressing a public meeting in Mizoram’s Aizawl, Shah said that incidents of violence in the region have come down significantly since 2014 and there is a new era of peace and development.
“There will be rail, road and air connectivity to all eight capitals in northeast by 2025 and projects worth a total of ₹1.76 lakh crores are being undertaken for the same,” the Union minister said.
Shah was on a day-long visit in Mizoram, where he inaugurated and laid foundation stones of various development projects worth ₹2,415 crore including the new battalion complex of the Assam Rifles.
“Foundation stone of four important road projects valued at around ₹1,200 crore were laid today. When completed, these would lead to increased trade and business not just within Mizoram but also between the state and neighbouring Myanmar,” he said.
Shah appealed to outfits from the region, which are still not engaged in peace talks, to join the democratic mainstream to contribute to northeast and India’s development.
“We have been able to bring peace and improve connectivity in the region in the last nine years and the pace of development in northeast is now like rest of the country. The entire northeast is now progressing in the path of peace, stability and development,” said Shah.
He mentioned over 8,000 cadres of rebel outfits have surrendered in past nine years and there was 67% decrease in incidents of violence in the region in comparison to 2014, 60% decrease in deaths of security personnel and 83% reduction in deaths of civilians in terror-related violence.
“Peace has returned to most of the region due to the peace agreements signed with various outfits. Due to this, there has been nearly 70% reduction in areas termed as ‘disturbed’ under provisions of the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act,” Shah said.
Mizoram will go to the polls towards the end of this year. While the ruling Mizo National Front (MNF) is a partner of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre, the parties are not in alliance in the state.

કાયાકિંગનાં શોખીનો માટે એક્ટિવિટી ખુલ્લી મુકાઈ શુક્રવારની સાંજે મેયર કિરીટ પરમાર, ડેપ્યુટી મેયર ગીતાબેન પટેલ, કમિટીનાં ચેરમેન હિતેશ બારોટ અને શાસક પક્ષનાં નેતા ભાસ્કરભાઈ ભટ્ટ સહિત સાબરમતી રિવરફ્રન્ટ અને મ્યુનિસિપલ કોર્પોરેશનનાં અધિકારીઓ દ્વારા કાયાકિંગ વોટર સ્પોર્ટ્સ એક્ટિવિટીને લોકો માટે ખુલ્લી મુકવામા આવી છે. સરદાર બ્રિજની નીચે આવેલા ઘાટ નં-11થી આંબેડકર બ્રિજ તરફ કાયાકિંગ વોટર સ્પોર્ટ્સ એક્ટિવિટી કરી શકાશે. કાયાકિંગ કરનારા શોખીનોને શરુઆતમાં 800 મીટરથી 1 કિ.મી સુધીનું એક ચક્કર મારવા દેવામાં આવશે. સવારે 6 થી 10 અને મોડી સાંજનાં સ્લોટનો ચાર્જ પ્રતિ વ્યક્તિ 600 રુપિયા રાખવામાં આવ્યો છે જ્યારે બપોરનાં સ્લોટનો ચાર્જ 300 રુપિયા રાખવામાં આવ્યો છે.
