વલસાડ જિલ્લાના ધરમપુર તાલુકાના નાની વાહિયાળ ગામના યુવકની હત્યાનો ભેદ ઉકલાયો છે. યુવકની હત્યા તેની જ પત્નીએ કરી હોવાનો ઘટસ્ફોટ થયો છે. છેલ્લાં ત્રણ વર્ષથી પ્રેમી સાથે જ રહેતી પત્ની તેના પતિ પાસે છૂટાછેડા માગતી હતી, પરંતુ સંતાનોને કારણે છૂટાછેડા ન આપતો હોવાના કારણે પત્નીએ હત્યા નીપજાવી હોવાનો ઘટસ્ફોટ થયો છે. આ હત્યામાં પત્નીના પ્રેમી અને તેના મિત્રની પણ સંડોવણી ખૂલી છે. પતિને કુહાડીના ઘા મારી હત્યા નિપજાવ્યા બાદ પ્રેમી અને તેના મિત્ર સાથે મળી પત્નીએ લાશને કોથળામાં નાખી હતી અને ત્યાર બાદ એક્ટિવા પર સવાર થઈ 30 કિમી દૂર ફેંકી હોવાની ચોંકાવનારી વિગત સામે આવી છે.
અજાણ્યા યુવકની મળી આવેલી લાશ બાદ હત્યાનો ઘટસ્ફોટ
વલસાડ જિલ્લાના ધરમપુર તાલુકાના તામછડીથી કોરવડ જતા રોડની સાઈડ પરથી 28મી તારીખે એક અજાણ્યા પુરુષની લાશ મળી હતી. પ્રાથમિક તપાસમાં ગળાના ભાગે ઈજાનાં નિશાન મળી આવતાં તપાસ હાથ ધરી હતી. ત્યારે જાણવા મળ્યું હતું કે મુકેશ પટેલ નામની વ્યક્તિ બે દિવસથી ગુમ છે. ત્યાર બાદ તેની ખરાઈ કરતાં લાશ મુકેશ પટેલની હોવાનું સ્પષ્ટ થયું હતું. મુકેશ પટેલના મોત પહેલાંની મૂવમેન્ટની તપાસ કરતાં તેની પત્ની જ્યાં રહે છે એ વિસ્તારમાં માલૂમ પડી હતી. જેથી મુકેશભાઈનાં પત્ની અને તેના પ્રેમીને પોલીસ સ્ટેશને બોલાવી પૂછપરછ કરી હતી. એમાં દિવ્યાનીબેને જ તેના પતિ મુકેશની હત્યા કરી હોવાની કબૂલાત આપી હતી.
છૂટાછેડા ન આપતાં પતિની હત્યા નીપજાવી
દિવ્યાની અને મુકેશને લગ્નજીવન દરમિયાન ત્રણ સંતાન છે. પતિ-પત્નીને મનમેળ ન રહેતાં દિવ્યાની છેલ્લાં ત્રણ વર્ષથી તેના પ્રેમી સંજય પંડિત સાથે બારોલિયા ખાતે રહે છે. પ્રેમી સાથે રહી શકે એ માટે દિવ્યાની વારંવાર મુકેશ પાસે છૂટાછેડા માગતી હતી, પરંતુ મુકેશ સંતાનોના ભવિષ્યની ચિંતા કરી છૂટાછેડા આપવાનો ઈનકાર કરતો હતો. 26 મેના દિવસે દિવ્યાનીએ પોતાના પતિ મુકેશને કામ હોવાનું કહી બારોલિયા બોલાવ્યો હતો અને છૂટાછેડા આપવા માટે કહ્યું હતું. પરંતુ મુકેશે ઈનકાર કરતાં દિવ્યાનીએ કુહાડીના ઘા મારી હત્યા નીપજાવી હતી.
લાશને કોથળામાં નાખી 30 કિમી દૂર ફેંકી આવ્યાં
બારોલિયામાં પતિની હત્યા કર્યા બાદ દિવ્યાનીએ તેના પ્રેમી સંજય પંડિતને જાણ કરી હતી. સંજય પંડિતે કોથળાની વ્યવસ્થા કરી હતી. ત્યાર બાદ દિવ્યાની, તેનો પ્રેમી સંજય અને સંજયનો મિત્ર જયકુમાર ગાવિતે મુકેશની લાશને કોથળામાં રાખી હતી. ત્રણેય મળી એક્ટિવા પર સવાર થયાં હતાં અને બારોલિયાથી 30 કિમી દૂર લાશને ફેંકી આવ્યાં હતાં.

રાજકોટમાં આજે બીજા દિવસે ધીરેન્દ્ર કૃષ્ણ શાસ્ત્રી દિવ્ય દરબાર પૂર્વે રાજકોટના મંદિરોમાં પહોંચ્યા હતા. બપોરના 01.30 વાગ્યે કાલાવડ રોડ સ્થિત BAPS સ્વામિનારાયણ મંદિરની મુલાકાત લીધી હતી, અહીંયા તેમને સ્વામિનારાયણ ભગવાનને અભિષેક કરી સંતો-મહંતો સાથે શુભેચ્છા મુલાકાત કરી હતી.
ભારત આસ્થાઓ પર વિશ્વાસ ધરાવતો દેશ છે
રાજકોટ BAPS સ્વામિનારાયણ મંદિરના કોઠારી સ્વામી, અપૂર્વમુની સ્વામી એ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, ધીરેન્દ્ર શાસ્ત્રી ભગવાન સ્વામિનારાયણના દર્શન કર્યા છે અને સંતો-મહંતો સાથે શુભેચ્છા મુલાકાત કરી છે. આ સાથે હિન્દૂ રાષ્ટ્ર મુદ્દે અપૂર્વમુનિ સ્વામીએ નિવેદન આપતા જણાવ્યું હતું કે, ભારત આસ્થાઓ પર વિશ્વાસ ધરાવતો દેશ છે. 80 કરોડ હિંદુઓ ભારતમાં વસવાટ કરે છે. ઘણા લોકો શ્રદ્ધા તરીકે જોવે તો ઘણા લોકો અંધશ્રદ્ધા તરીકે જોવે દરેક વ્યક્તિની અલગ-અલગ માન્યતા હોય છે.
સાંજે VIP દરબાર યોજાશે
ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે, BAPS સ્વામિનારાયણ મંદિર બાદ ધીરેન્દ્ર શાસ્ત્રી કાલાવડ રોડ પર ઇજી ચોક ખાતે હનુમાનજી મંદિર ખાતે દર્શન અર્થે ગયા હતા અને બાલાજી મંદિરની મુલાકાત લીધી હતી. આ પછી તુરંત જનકલ્યાણ હોલ ખાતે પહોંચ્યા હતા, જ્યાં ભોજન કરી સાંજના VIP દરબાર યોજવામાં આવશે જેમાં રાજકોટના અલગ-અલગ સમાજના આગેવાનો અને ઉદ્યોગપતિઓ જોડાશે અને શુભેછા મુલાકાત કરશે.

Europe‘s inflation took a positive turn with a significant drop to 6.1%, but prices are still posing a pinch to shoppers who are yet to see real relief in what they pay for food and other necessities.
The annual figure in May eased from 7% in April for the 20 countries that use the euro currency, the European Union’s statistical agency Eurostat said Thursday.
It was a welcome sign that the explosion in price increases — which peaked in record double digits last October — is heading in the right direction.
But economists warned that it will be many months before disgruntled consumers see more normal levels of inflation reflected on price tags in shops. While prices are rising more slowly, they are coming on top of already-high costs triggered by Russia’s war in Ukraine and other factors.
Relief is far off for people like 76-year-old Brigitte Weinbeck, who was shopping this week at an open-air market in Cologne, Germany.
“I shop more consciously — for instance, I always make a plan at the beginning of the week about what I’m going to cook and when and then I go shopping,” she said. “Otherwise, you sometimes make impulse purchases.”
The food bank at Berlin’s St. Wilhelm Roman Catholic Church, meanwhile, has gone from serving 100-120 households before the war in Ukraine to 200.
“Now, there are people coming who are at the limit of their income,” coordinator Christine Klar said. “They say the prices have risen so much now. And now they know, or heard, that they are entitled to use the food bank, so now they come.”
Food prices in the eurozone rose by a painful 12.5% in May from a year earlier, but still eased from the 13.5% increase recorded in April.
Key to the lower overall inflation figure was energy prices, which fell 1.7% from a year ago following an increase of 2.4% a month ago.
Core inflation, which excludes volatile food and energy, fell to 5.3% from 5.6% in April. That figure is seen as the better indication of price pressures in the economy from demand for goods and higher wages. It’s high enough that the European Central Bank is expected to approve another interest rate increase at its June 15 meeting.
Inflation fell in the three biggest economies where the euro is used: Germany to 6.1%, France to 5.1% and Italy to 7.6%. The decline was “broad based, with food, energy and core inflation all contributing to the easing,” economist Rory Fennessy wrote at Oxford Economics.
Inflation took off in mid-2021 as fears that Russia might invade Ukraine sent natural gas and oil prices higher on fears of losing Russian supplies and as the global economy bounced back from the worst of the pandemic, straining supplies of parts and materials.
The energy and supply choke points have eased, but higher prices have kept spreading through the economy as workers demand better pay and companies find they can raise prices to cover increasing costs.
“Total inflation is rapidly declining, driven by such factors as lower energy prices and large base effects from 2022. In this context, it is important to bear in mind that the general price level is continuing to rise from an already high level,” according to economists at SEB bank.
“Consumers will continue to have a tough time, even though central banks will find the situation somewhat easier late in 2023 from an inflation targeting perspective,” they wrote.
Germany, whose economy has contracted for two straight quarters that marks one definition of recession, has tried to cushion the blow of high energy prices with subsidies for households and businesses and discounted public transit tickets. That partly helped push energy increases much lower, but food is still surging.
Price rises for energy and food have been major challenges for the European economy because consumers are forced to spend more on necessities and have less to spend on everything else.
The eurozone dodged recession in the early months of the year, thanks largely to governments scrambling to line up non-Russian sources of natural gas to avoid an energy catastrophe. The economy grew only 0.1% in the first three months of the year.
Also weighing on economic growth are rapid interest rate hikes from the European Central Bank as it tries to wrestle inflation toward its target rate of 2%.
Higher interest rates influence the cost of borrowing across the economy, making it more expensive to get a mortgage to buy a house or a business investment loan — in turn, reducing demand for goods that drives inflation higher.

મજકુર આરોપીઓની પુછપરછ કરતા પોતે લોરેન્સ બિશ્નોઇ ગેંગ સાથે સંલગ્ન રહી આરોપીઓ અક્ષય રામકુમાર ડેલુ જાતે.બીશ્નોઇ ઉવ.22, અંકિત વિષ્ણુરામ કાંકકડ જાતે.બિશ્નોઇ ઉવ.22 રહે. બંને ખેરપુર તા.અબોહર જી.ફાજીલકા પંજાબવાળાઓ આજથી આશરે બે મહિના લોરેન્સ બિશ્નોઇના ભાઇ અનમોલ બિશ્નોઇ દ્વારા રાજસ્થાન રાજ્યના જૈન ઇસમ પાસે રૂ. 50 લાખની ખંડણી માંગી હતી. તે અંગે શ્રીગંગાનગર પો.સ્ટે.માં ખંડણીનો ગુનો નોંધાયો હતો. જે ગુનાના કામે વોન્ટેડ હોવાની તથા આરોપી નં-3 વિક્રમસિંહ બળવંતસિહ જાડેજા ઉવ.30 રહે.વાંકુ તા.અબડાસા જી.કચ્છ ભુજવાળાની પુછપરછ કરતા પોતે સને-2017માં કચ્છ જિલ્લાના જખૌ પોલીસ સ્ટેશનમાં ખુન કેસને અંજામ આપ્યો હતો. જે ગુનામાં નામ.કોર્ટ દ્વારા આજીવન કેદની સજા કરવામાં આવી હતી. જે અંગે રાજકોટ મધ્યસ્થ જેલમાં સજા કાપતો હોય અને દિન-10ની પેરોલ રજા બાદ તા. 13/2/2023થી પેરોલ જમ્પ થયેલો હોવાની કબુલાત આપેલી છે.

Will stop work if pending bills not cleared until June 5: Bengaluru contractors | Latest News India | Times Of Ahmedabad
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Contractors’ Association on Thursday threatened to stop all works if their pending bills are not cleared until June 5.
The association submitted a memorandum about the payments to BBMP commissioner Tushar Girinath in Bengaluru days after Karnataka’s new Congress government on May 26 issued an order for withholding payments related to projects sanctioned when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was in power.
The memorandum said payments date back to May 2021. “Contractors already in financial distress will be subjected to even more distress… we request you to release the withheld payments immediately…”
R Ambikapathy, the president of the association, said payments have not been made for over 24 months . “We did not receive any payment over the last two months due to elections as well.”
He said Girinath told them that the government has sent a circular directing officials not to make any new payments. “He said there would be a discussion on this and then a decision will be taken.”
Ambikapathy said over 2,000 contractors have been affected and their debts have been mounting. He added Girinath has assured them the issue will be taken up.

ભરૂચ-અંકલેશ્વર શહેરી વિકાસ સત્તામંડળ BAUDA ની 2012 માં સ્થાપના સાથે જ બન્ને શહેરોને ટ્વિન સિટી તરીકે વિકસાવવાનો પાયો નંખાઈ ગયો હતો, જે સ્વપ્ન હવે નર્મદા મૈયા બ્રિજ નિર્માણ થયાને 2 વર્ષ બાદ સાકાર થયું છે. નર્મદા નદી ઉપર ફોરલેન બનેલા નવા બ્રિજે બન્ને શહેરો વચ્ચેનું અંતર, સમય ઘટાડવા સાથે ટ્વિન સિટીની તર્જ ઉપર GSRTC ની ST બસો દોડતી થઈ ગઈ છે.
ગોલ્ડનબ્રિજને સમાંતર નવા નર્મદા મૈયા બ્રિજના નિર્માણથી ભરૂચ અને અંકલેશ્વર ટ્વીન સિટી જોડિયા શહેરોનું સ્વપ્ન 9 વર્ષે સાકાર થઈ થયું હતું. વર્ષ 2012માં ભરૂચ-અંકલેશ્વર અર્બન ડેવલપમેન્ટ ઓથોરિટી BAUDA ની રચના સાથે જ બન્ને શહેરને ટ્વીન સિટીની તર્જ ઉપર વિકસાવવાનો પાયો નંખાઈ ગયો હતો. જેને સાકાર કરવા તરફ નવનિર્મિત નર્મદા મૈયા બ્રિજે 2 વર્ષ પહેલા સેતુની ભૂમિકા ભજવવાની શરૂ કરી દીધી હતી.
નર્મદા મૈયા બ્રિજ પરથી 2 વર્ષના પ્રતિબંધ પછી GSRTC ની બસો પસાર થઇ રહી છે. નર્મદા મૈયા બ્રિજ પર NH 48 હાઇવેના ફોર વ્હીલ વાહનો બાદ સરકારી બસો ST ડાઈવર્ટ થઈ છે. નર્મદા મૈયા બ્રિજ હવે ભરૂચ અંકલેશ્વર શહેરને ટ્વિનસિટીમાં પરિવર્તિત કરવા માટે મહત્વનો બનવા જઈ રહ્યો છે.
સડસડાટ દોડતા વાહનો પળવારમાં તો અંકલેશ્વરને આંબી જાય છે. હાલ ST બસ સંચાલન શરુ કરાયું છે. ભરૂચ-અંકલેશ્વર રાજ્ય અને રાજ્ય બહાર જોડતી 1040 બસોની ક્નેટિવિટી ધરાવે છે. જે જોતા NH 48 ઉપરથી ST બસો પણ યુ ટર્ન લેતા ₹ 85 ટોલ ટેક્સ લેખે રોજની GSRTC ને ટોલમાં ₹ 1.90 લાખથી વધુની બચત થશે. સાથે જ હાઇવે કેબલ બ્રિજના સ્થાને નર્મદા મૈયા બ્રિજ પરથી ST બસો પસાર થતા ઝડપી, સમયસર મુસાફરી સાથે ₹ 2.07 લાખના ડીઝલની બચત પણ થશે. મુસાફરોને પણ 10 કિમીનો ફેરાવો ઘટવા સાથે ભાડાં. અને સમયમાં રાહત મળી રહી છે.
ટ્વીન સિટીની કનેક્ટિવિટી માટે દર 15 કે 30 મિનિટે બસો દોડાવવાનું આયોજન ભરૂચ અને અંકલેશ્વર વચ્ચે ટ્રાફિકને લઈ હાથ ધરવામાં આવનાર છે. જે માટે નર્મદા ચોકડીથી ભોલાવ એસટી. ડિવિઝન, અંકલેશ્વરના ગડખોલ, પ્રતિન ચોકડી, રેલવે સ્ટેશન અને અંકલેશ્વર ST ડેપો વચ્ચે 4 પીકઅપ સ્ટેન્ડ બનાવાયા છે.

Emma Pallant-Browne, a British athlete, is sharing the realities faced by women in sports while menstruating. Recently, when Browne was competing in the PTO European Open triathlon in Ibiza, Spain a photographer snapped a picture of her with a small blood stain on her swimsuit.
Browne later shared this picture on her Instagram and thanked people who support and ‘celebrate’ women in sports. In the post’s caption, she wrote, “Humbled by the amount of messages I’ve had from both men and women (I am going to give menstrual cups another go) about the unglamorous reality of racing on your period. This is true female sport and the more barriers we can break through the better. For context (and hopefully, this answers many questions): I raced in a swimsuit because of overheat, I pass out in hot races, and on my period my body temp is also higher.”
She further added, “Pouring water over yourself at aid stations does the trick, and if it doesn’t you end up with one photo like this but the idea to edit it means there is something wrong with it. If you wrote to me saying 99% of the women you know would be mortified at this then that is exactly why I am sharing this, because there really is nothing wrong. It’s natural and coming from eating issues as an endurance runner when I was growing up where I didn’t have my period, I now see it as beautiful.”

મોરબી તાલુકાના બેલા ગામની સીમમાં ફેકટરીના લેબર ક્વાર્ટરના ત્રીજા માળની પાળી પરથી નીચે પડી જતા યુવાનને ગંભીર ઈજા પહોંચતાં મોત થયું હતું. જે મામલે મોરબી તાલુકા નોંધ કરી છે. મોરબી તાલુકાના નાગડાવાસ ગામમાં રહેતા વૃદ્ધે ગળેફાંસો ખાઈ આપઘાત કર્યો છે.
બનાવની મળતી વિગતો મુજબ બેલા ગામની સીમમાં લેક્મી સિરામિકમાં રહીને મજૂરી કરતા સંજુ પન્નાલાલ ઘોર (ઉ.વ.27) નામના યુવાન ફેકટરીના ત્રીજા માળની છતની પાળી પરથી નીચે પડી જતા ગંભીર ઈજા થતાં મોત થયું હતું. બનાવને પગલે મૃતદેહ પીએમ અર્થે હોસ્પિટલ ખસેડાયો હતો. મોરબી તાલુકા પોલીસે અકસ્માત મૃત્યુના બનાવની નોંધ કરી વધુ તપાસ મનીષ બારૈયા અને નરેશ રીબડિયાની ટીમ ચલાવી રહી છે. જેમાં પોલીસ પાસેથી મળતી વિગતો મુજબ મૃતક શ્રમિક યુવાન ગરમી હોવાથી છતની પાળી પર સૂવા ગયો હતો. અને નિંદ્રાધીન અવસ્થામાં નીચે પડી જતાં ઈજા પહોંચતાં તેનું મોત થયું હતું. મોરબી તાલુકા પોલીસે બનાવ મામલે નોંધ કરી આગળની કાર્યવાહી હાથ ધરી છે.
નાગડાવાસ ગામે માનસિક બીમારીથી કંટાળી વૃદ્ધે આપઘાત કર્યો
તો બીજા બનાવામાં નાગડાવાસ ગામમાં રહેતા રવાભાઈ અરજણભાઈ બોરીચા (ઉ.વ.70) નામના વૃદ્ધે પોતાના ઘરે કોઈ કારણોસર ગળેફાંસો ખાઈ આપઘાત કરી લીધો હતો. બનાવની જાણ થતાં મોરબી તાલુકા પોલીસની ટીમ પહોંચી હતી. મૃતદેહ પી.એમ અર્થે સરકારી હોસ્પિટલ ખસેડી બનાવની વધુ તપાસ ચલાવી હતી જેમાં પોલીસ પાસેથી પ્રાપ્ત વિગતો મુજબ મૃતક બીમારીથી પીડાતા હતા જેથી આપઘાત કરી લીધાનું પ્રાથમિક તપાસમાં ખુલ્યું છે. વધુ તપાસ પોલીસે ચલાવી રહી છે.

મહેસાણા અને પાટણ જિલ્લામાં તોલમાપ વિભાગે બે માસ દરમિયાન કડક તપાસ કરી હતી. અલગ-અલગ ગાઈડલાઈનનો ભંગ કરતા વ્યાપારીઓ સામે કડક કાર્યવાહી હાથ કરી 3 લાખથી વધુની પેનલ્ટીની વસૂલાત કરવામાં આવી છે. કેટલાક વ્યાપારીઓ છાપેલી કિંમત કરતા વધુ ભાવ લેતા, વજન ઓછું આપવું, પેકિંગ પર લખાણ વિના વસ્તુઓ વેચવા સહિત અલગ અલગ કેસ કરવામાં આવ્યાં હતા.
મહેસાણા અને પાટણ જિલ્લામાં તોલમાપ વિભાગે બે માસ દરમિયાન કડક કાર્યવાહી કરી હતી. જેમાં બે જિલ્લામાં કુલ 133 કેસ કરી 3,18,000ની પેનલ્ટી વસૂલવામાં આવી હતી. વ્યાપારીઓ ગ્રાહકો સાથે છેતરપિંડી કરતા હોવાનું સામે આવતા અને તોલમાપની સતત ચેકિંગ કામગીરી પગલે વ્યાપારીઓમાં ફફડાટ ફેલાયો છે.
મહેસાણા- પાટણ જિલ્લામાં ડેરી પેકિંગ, આઈસ્ક્રીમના પેકિંગમાં કેટલાક વ્યાપારી લખાણ લખ્યા વિના વ્યાપાર કરતા ઝડપાયા હતા. તેમજ કેટલાક વ્યાપારી તોલમાપના લાયસન્સ વિના વ્યાપાર કરવા સહિત નિયમ ભંગ કરનાર વ્યાપારીઓના ત્યાં દરોડા પાડી કાર્યવાહી કરવામાં આવી હતી.
તપાસ દરમિયાન પેકિંગ પર વિગતો છાપ્યા વિના આઈસ્ક્રીમ વેચવાના 2 કેસ કરી 25,000 દંડ, તોલમાપ લાયસન્સ વિના વ્યાપાર કરી પાણીની બોટલો સહિતનો વ્યાપાર કરનાર સામે 9 કેસ કરી 94,000 દંડ, તેમજ ગ્રાહકોને ઓછું વજન આપનાર શાકભાજી અને બેકરીના એકમો સામે 8 કેસ કરી 69,00 દંડ, વધારે ભાવ લેનારા પાર્લર, કરીયાણા, ઉત્પાદક સામે 6 કેસ કરી 18,000 દંડ, ચેક ચાક તેમજ વજન કાંટો ન ધરાવનાર 3 સામે કેસ કરી 26,000 દંડ, નોન સ્ટાન્ડર્ડ વજન માપ વિના વ્યાપાર કરતા 1 સામે 20,000 દંડ ફટકાર્યો હતો
બીજી બાજુ પાટણ જિલ્લામાં એક પેટ્રોલપપનો સંચાલક ચકાસણી મુદ્રાકન કર્યા વિના પેટ્રોલ ડીઝલ વેચતો ઝડપાયો હતો જેથી તેની સામે પણ કાર્યવાહી કરવામાં આવી હતી. જનરલ સ્ટોર, કરીયાણા દુકાન, તેલના વ્યાપારી, ડેરી પાર્લર સહિત 104 કેસ કરી મુદ્રાકન ચકાસણી કરાવ્યાં વિના વ્યાપર કરનાર 104 સામે કેસ કરી 1,28,100 દંડ ફટકાર્યો હતો આમ મહેસાણા પાટણ જિલ્લામાં તોલમાપ વિભાગે કુલ 133 કેસ કરી 3 લાખ 18 હજાર દંડ ફટકરી કાર્યવાહી કરી હતી
