દિલ્હીમાં છેલ્લા કેટલાય સમયથી રેસલર દ્વારા વિરોધ કરવામાં આવી રહ્યો છે. જેના પડઘા દેશભરમાં પડ્યા છે. અમદાવાદમાં આજે યુથ કોંગ્રેસ દ્વારા રેસલરના સમર્થનમાં વિરોધ કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો. રોડ રસ્તા બંધ કરીને વિરોધ કરી રહેલા યુથ કોંગ્રેસ અને NSUIના કાર્યકરોની પોલીસે અટકાયત કરી હતી.
કાર્યકરોની ટિંગાટોળી કરી પોલીસે અટકાયત કરી
રેસલરના વિરોધને કોંગ્રેસનું સમર્થન મળ્યું છે ત્યારે અમદાવાદના ઇન્કમટેક્સ ખાતે યુથ કોંગ્રેસ અને NSUIના કાર્યકરો વિરોધ કરવા પહોંચ્યા હતા. સૂત્રોચ્ચાર અને હાથમાં બેનર સાથે યુથ કોંગ્રેસ અને NSUIના કાર્યકરો રોડ રસ્તા બંધ કરીને વિરોધ કરી રહ્યા હતા. ત્યારે અમદાવાદ પોલીસે તમામની અટકાયત કરી હતી. કેટલાક કાર્યકરોની ટિંગાટોળી કરીને પણ પોલીસે અટકાયત કરી હતી.
જિલ્લા અને તાલુકા કક્ષાએ વિરોધ કરીશું
ગુજરાત યુથ કોંગ્રેસના મહામંત્રી પ્રવિણસિંહ વનોલે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, દેશની દીકરીઓએ દેશનું નામ રોશન કર્યું છે. તેમના સમર્થનમાં આજે અમે વિરોધ પ્રદર્શન કર્યું હતું. દીકરીઓને જ્યાં સુધી ન્યાય નહીં મળે ત્યાં સુધી અમે વિરોધ કરીશું. આગામી સમયમાં જિલ્લા અને તાલુકા કક્ષાએ વિરોધ કરીશું અને જરૂર પડશે તો વિધાનસભાનો પણ ઘેરાવો કરીશું.

નર્મદા જિલ્લાના સગબારા દેવમોગરા મંદિર ખાતે નડિયાદની મહિલાને એકના ડબલ કરવાની લાલચ આપી દોઢ લાખની છેતરપિંડીનો ગુનો બન્યો હતો. જે ગુનાને ડિટેકટ કરવા નર્મદા પોલીસ અધીક્ષક પ્રશાંત સુમ્બેએ LCB નર્મદા PI જે.બી.ખાંભલા, PSI જી.બી વસાવા અને આખી ટીમ દ્વારા ગુનાના ડીટેક્ટ કરવા વાહન ચેકીંગ કરતા હતા.
જે દરમિયાન બાતમીદારથી હકીકત મળી હતી કે, આ ગુનાના આરોપીઓ સાગબારા વિસ્તારના પાડી ગામે છેતરપીંડીની રોકડ રકમના ભાગ પાડી રહ્યાં છે. જે ચોક્કસ બાતમી આધારે એલ.સી.બી. સ્ટાફે પાડી ગામે રેઇડ કરતા બે આરોપીઓને રોકડ રકમ રૂ, 17,580 તથા ફોરવ્હીલ અને મોટર સાયકલ તથા મોબાઇલ નંગ-5 મળી કુલ 3,68,080નો મુદ્દામાલ કબજે કરી આરોપીઓની અટકાયત કરી આગળની વધુ તપાસ અર્થે સાગબારા પોલીસ સ્ટેશનને સોંપવામાં આવ્યા છે.
આ ગુનામાં ઝડપાયેલા આરોપીઓમાં મધુકર વેસ્તા વસાવા (રહે. મોટી પરોડી તા. સાગબારા જિ.નર્મદા) અને અરવિંદભાઇ કોથીયાભાઇ વસાવા (રહે. પાડી તા.સાગબારા જી.નર્મદા). જ્યારે ભાગી ગયેલા આરોપીઓમાં યશવંત રમેશભાઇ વસાવા (રહે. જંગલ આમલપાડા તા.સોનગઢ જી.તાપી) અને બીજો એક અજાણ્યો ઇસમ હોવાની જાણકારી મળી છે. આ આરોપીઓને સાગબરા પોલીસને સોંપવામાં આવ્યા છે.

South Africa is considering switching the venue of an upcoming summit of BRICS leaders to another country, according to people familiar with the matter, a move that would resolve its dilemma over whether to execute an international arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The government is considering asking China to host the meeting of heads of state, or alternatively neighboring Mozambique, the people said, asking not to be identified because discussions about the matter are private and no decision has been taken yet. Department of International Relations Minister Naledi Pandor’s spokesman, Lunga Ngqengelele, said that as things stand, the summit will be held in Gauteng province, where the commercial hub of Johannesburg and the capital, Pretoria, are situated.
“As far as we are aware, we have announced the summit venue as Gauteng, South Africa,” he said. “That is what we know as of today.”
South Africa has invited Putin, along with the leaders of Brazil, India and China, to the Aug. 22-24 summit. Because South Africa is a member of the International Criminal Court, it would be obliged to execute an arrest warrant for Putin that the tribunal issued earlier this year if he travels to the country — an eventuality it’s intent on avoiding.
Neither China nor Mozambique are parties to the Rome Statute that established the ICC. Mozambique is unlikely to be a suitable venue because the country lacks the capacity to host an event on the scale of a BRICS summit, one of the people said.
The South African government previously drew international criticism in 2015, when it refused to execute an ICC arrest warrant for then-Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, who had been indicted for war crimes and genocide, while he was attending a meeting of African leaders in Johannesburg. South Africa’s Supreme Court of Appeals ruled that the government had acted unlawfully and the ICC found that it had failed to failed to comply with its international obligations.

સિદ્ધપુર તાલુકા બાદ સરસ્વતી તાલુકાના કોઇટા વાસણી વાગડોદ કાનોસણ અને ચારૂપ ગામમાંથી સહ પરિવાર મળી કુલ 80થી વધુ લોકો દ્વારા જાતિ અપમાનિત ઘટનાઓથી દુઃખી થઈ હિન્દુ ધર્મમાંથી બૌદ્ધ ધર્મમાં જવા માટે ધર્માંતરણની મંજૂરી લેવા જિલ્લા કલેક્ટર કચેરી ખાતે અરજી કરવામાં આવી હતી. ગુરુવારે અરજદાર પૈકી 60 લોકોને કલેકટર અરવિંદ વિજયન દ્વારા સુનાવણી માટે રૂબરૂ બોલાવી તેમના અભિપ્રાય લેવામાં આવ્યાં હતા. જેમાં ધર્માંતરણ અંગે કલેકટર દ્વારા કારણ અંગે પૂછપરછ કરી નિવેદનો લેવામાં આવ્યાં હતા.
અન્ય બાકી અરજદારોને આગામી 15 – 20 જૂન દરમ્યાન સુનાવણી માટે બોલવવામાં આવ્યા છે. હાલમાં અરજી કરનાર લોકોને કોઈ દબાણ પૂર્વક ધર્માંતરણ કરાઈ રહ્યું નથી તે બાબતે પુછપરછ કરાઈ છે. તેવું અરજદાર જગદીશભાઈ પરમારે જણાવ્યું હતું.

Franco Mulakkal – who was temporarily relieved of pastoral duties in 2018 following allegations of rape by a nun – resigned as Jalandhar Bishop on Thursday. The 59-year-old Bishop’s resignation was requested by the Vatican for the “good of the Jalandhar diocese which needs a new bishop” and not as a “disciplinary measure imposed upon him”, reported news agency PTI citing sources. He will now serve as Bishop Emeritus of Jalandhar, reports said.
Traditionally, Bishops hand in their resignation when they turn 75.
The Kerala nun rape case
In 2018, a Kerala nun filed a case against Bishop Franco Mulakkal, accusing him of raping her multiple times during his visit to her convent in Kottayam between 2014 and 2016. Following this, Mulakkal was arrested and remanded to judicial custody. During this time, he was also temporarily relieved of his responsibilities in the diocese by Pope Francis.
However, in January 2022, the Additional District and Sessions Court in Kottayam, Kerala acquitted Mulakkal of sexual assault charges. Despite the verdict, he was not given any new responsibilities in the church.
The nun – who is a member of the Missionaries of Jesus congregation based in Punjab which runs two convents in Kerala – has moved the Kerala High Court against his acquittal in the case by the trial court.
On the other hand, Mulakkal has rejected the allegations, calling them a conspiracy against the church.

નાયબ મુખ્ય દંડક જગદીશભાઈ મકવાણાના અધ્યક્ષ સ્થાને આજે મેડીકલ હોલ, વઢવાણ ખાતે સ્વ સહાય જૂથો માટે બેંક લિંકેજ અન્વયે કેશ ક્રેડિટ કેમ્પ યોજાયો હતો. જિલ્લા ગ્રામ વિકાસ એજન્સી, દીનદયાલ અંત્યોદય યોજના તેમજ રાષ્ટ્રીય ગ્રામીણ આજીવિકા મિશન યોજનાના સંયુક્ત ઉપક્રમે આ કાર્યક્રમનું આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું.
આ કાર્યક્રમમાં સંબોધન કરતા નાયબ મુખ્ય દંડક જગદીશભાઈ મકવાણાએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, તત્કાલીન મુખ્યમંત્રી અને હાલના વડાપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્રભાઈ મોદી દ્વારા વર્ષ 2011માં મિશન મંગલમ યોજનાની શરૂઆત કરવામાં આવી હતી. આ યોજનાનો હેતુ ગરીબી રેખા નીચે જીવતા પરિવારના સભ્યોને સખી મંડળ મારફત એકત્રિત કરી બેંકો અને લઘુધિરાણ સાથે જોડી ગરીબીમાંથી બહાર લાવવાનો છે.
મહિલા કલ્યાણલક્ષી યોજનાઓની જાણકારી આપતા નાયબ મુખ્ય દંડકે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, બહેનો આર્થિક રીતે પગભર થાય અને તેમના સર્વાંગી વિકાસ માટે સરકાર તરફથી અનેકવિધ સહાય માટેની યોજનાઓ અમલમાં મૂકવામાં આવી છે. જેના થકી આજે મહિલાઓ આત્મનિર્ભર બની છે. મુખ્યમંત્રી માતૃશક્તિ યોજના હેઠળ સગર્ભા માતાઓને 1 હજાર દિવસ સુધી પોષણક્ષમ આહાર આપવામાં આવે છે. તેમજ આદિજાતિ વિસ્તારમાં સગર્ભા અને ધાત્રી માતાઓના પોષણને સુદ્રઢ કરવા સરકારે પોષણ સુધા યોજના અમલમાં મૂકી છે. ચિરંજીવી યોજના હેઠળ ગરીબી રેખા નીચે જીવતી કોઈપણ પ્રસુતા માતા અને અનુસુચિત જનજાતિની માતાને સરકાર દ્વારા નકકી કરાયેલા દવાખાનાઓમાં વિનામૂલ્યે પ્રસુતિ કરાવી શકે છે. વિદ્યાર્થીનીઓએ ધોરણ 8 પછી પણ શાળાકીય શિક્ષણ ચાલુ રાખવા વિદ્યા સાધના યોજના અંતર્ગત મફત સાયકલ આપવામાં આવે છે. આમ મહિલાઓને સક્ષમ અને આત્મનિર્ભર બનાવવા માટે સરકારે અનેક યોજનાઓનો અસરકારક રીતે અમલ કર્યો છે.
વધુમાં તેમણે ઉમેર્યું હતું કે, સ્થાનિક સ્વરાજ્યની સંસ્થાઓ હોય કે વહીવટી તંત્ર આજે મહિલાઓની હિસ્સેદારી ઉડીને આંખે વળગે છે. સ્થાનિક સ્વરાજની ચૂંટણીઓમાં 50 % અને સરકારી નોકરીઓમાં 33 ટકા મહિલાઓ માટે આરક્ષિત રાખવાનો સરકારે નિર્ણય કરી એનો ચોક્કસપણે અમલ કર્યો છે. આજે મહિલાઓ દરેક ક્ષેત્રમાં અગ્રેસર બની છે. સંસદ હોય કે અવકાશ એમ દરેક ક્ષેત્રમાં આપણને આજે નારી શક્તિના દર્શન થાય છે.
જિલ્લા ગ્રામ વિકાસ એજન્સી નિયામક આર.એમ.રાયજાદા દ્વારા સ્વાગત પ્રવચન અને જિલ્લા લાઈવલીહુડ મેનેજર સતીશ ગમાર દ્વારા કાર્યક્રમની આભાર વિધિ કરવામાં આવી હતી. દસાડા ધારાસભ્ય પી.કે.પરમાર અને ધ્રાંગધ્રા ધારાસભ્ય પ્રકાશભાઈ વરમોરાએ પ્રાસંગિક ઉદબોધન કર્યા હતા. ઉપસ્થિત મહાનુભાવોના વરદ હસ્તે સ્વ સહાય જૂથોને ચેકોનું વિતરણ કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. અત્રે ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે, આજે કેશ ક્રેડિટ લોન વિતરણ કાર્યક્રમ અંતર્ગત 14 સ્વ સહાય જૂથોને 33 લાખ 55 હજારના ચેકોનું વિતરણ કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. તેમજ સમગ્ર લોન વિતરણ મેળામાં 150 સ્વ સહાય જૂથોને 195 લાખનું વિતરણ કરવામાં આવ્યું છે.આ કાર્યક્રમમાં જિલ્લા વિકાસ અધિકારી પી.એન.મકવાણા, લીડ બેંક મેનેજર શર્મા સહિત મોટી સંખ્યામાં સ્વ સહાય જૂથો/ સખી મંડળ સાથે જોડાયેલી બહેનો ઉપસ્થિત રહી હતી.

રાજકોટમાં બે દિવસથી બાગેશ્વરધામના બાબા ધીરેન્દ્ર શાસ્ત્રીએ ધામા નાખ્યા છે. આજે સાંજે 6 વાગ્યે તેમનો રેસકોર્સ મેદાનમાં દિવ્ય દરબાર છે. ધીરેન્દ્ર શાસ્ત્રીને રાજકોટના આયોજક કિશોર ખંભાયતા કિંગ્સ હાઇટ્સના નિવાસસ્થાને ઉતારો આપવામાં આવ્યો છે. જાહેર મંચ પર બાબાને મળવામાંથી બચવા સૌરાષ્ટ્રની મોટી હસ્તીઓ આજે કિંગ્સ હાઇટ્સમાં પહોંચી હતી. લોક સાહિત્યકાર રાજભા ગઢવી, દ્વારકાના ભાજપના ધારાસભ્ય પબુભા માણેક, જામનગરના ઉદ્યોગપતિ મેરામણ પરમાર સહિતના લોકોએ અંગત રીતે બાબાને મળીને આશીર્વાદ લીધા હતા.
તમામ હસ્તીઓ કેમેરામાં કેદ થઈ
કિંગ્સ હાઇટ્સમાં બાબાને મળ્યા બાદ તમામ હસ્તીઓ જ્યારે બહાર આવી ત્યારે કેમેરામાં કેદ થઈ હતી. આ ઉપરાંત રાજકોટના મેયર ડો.પ્રદીપ ડવ પણ બાબા બાગેશ્વરના આશીર્વાદ લીધાનું નજરે પડ્યું હતું. પબુભા માણેક તો લક્ઝુરિયસ રોલ્સ રોયસમાં આવ્યા હતા અને બાબાના આશીર્વાદ લીધા હતા. રાજભા ગઢવી, પબુભા માણેક, મેરામણ પરમારે બાબાના આશીર્વાદ લીધા બાદ સાથે ઉભા રહી ફોટા પણ પડાવ્યા હતા.

કિર્તીદાન ગઢવી બાબા સાથે જ
સુરતના દિવ્ય દરબારમાં લોક કલાકાર કિર્તીદાન ગઢવીએ બાબાના આશીર્વાદ લીધા હતા. તેમજ ગઈકાલે સોમનાથ મંદિરે બાબા બાગેશ્વરે દર્શન કર્યા ત્યારે પણ કિર્તીદાન ગઢવી તેમની સાથે રહ્યા હતા. સોમનાથ મંદિરે ધ્વજારોહણ બાદ કિર્તીદાન ગઢવીએ બાબા બાગેશ્વરને ‘સોમનાથ મહાદેવ ભોળિયા કરૂ તમારી સેવ..’ ભજન પણ સંભળાવ્યું હતું.
પબુભા માણેક રોલ્સ રોયસમાં બાબાને મળવા આવ્યા હતા.
કિશોર ખંભાયતાના ઘરે બાબાનો મુકામ
બાગેશ્વરધામ સમિતિ રાજકોટના આયોજક યોગીન છનિયારાના જણાવ્યા મુજબ ધીરેન્દ્ર શાસ્ત્રીના રાજકોટમાં કાર્યક્રમને લઈ તડામાર તૈયારીઓ છે. 30 મેએ રાતે બાબા રાજકોટમાં આવ્યા હતા અને તેમને ઉતારો અમારા સાથી આયોજક અને બાબાના ભક્ત કિશોર ખંભાયતાના ઘરે આપવામાં આવ્યો છે. આજથી એક દોઢ વર્ષ પહેલા બાબાએ કિશોર ખંભાયતાને રાજકોટ તેમના ઘરે આવવાનું વચન આપ્યું હતું માટે તેઓને ઉતારો તેમના ઘરે જ આપવામાં આવ્યો છે.
રાજકોટના મેયર ડો.પ્રદીપ ડવ બાબાના આશીર્વાદ લેવા આવી પહોંચ્યા હતા.
કોણ છે કિશોર ખંભાયતા
કિશોર ખંભાયતા પોતે એક સામાજિક અગ્રણી છે અને સાથે સાથે ઉદ્યોગપતિ પણ છે. તેઓની વિચારધારા રાજકીય રીતે ભારતીય જનતા પાર્ટી સાથે સંકળાયેલી છે. રાજકોટના કિશોર ખંભાયતા મધ્યપ્રદેશની મુખ્ય બાગેશ્વરધામ સમિતિ સાથે પણ જોડાયેલા છે. રાજકોટના મુખ્ય આયોજક યોગીન છનિયારા અને કિશોર ખંભાયતા એક સાથે મુખ્ય મંદિર બાગેશ્વરધામ ખાતે જાય છે અને આવે છે.

કિશોર ખંભાયતાને બાબા સાથે નજીકનો નાતો
રાજકોટના જાણીતા ઉદ્યોગપતિ કિશોર ખંભાયતા બાબા ધીરેન્દ્ર શાસ્ત્રી સાથે નજીકનો નાતો ધરાવી રહ્યા છે અને કદાચ એટલા જ માટે બાબા ધીરેન્દ્ર શાસ્ત્રી તેમના ઘરે રોકાણ કરવાના છે. જો કે, કિશોર ખંભાયતા ખૂબ સરળ સ્વભાવના હોવાથી તેઓ ક્યારે પણ પોતાનો પ્રચાર કરવામાં માનતા નથી માત્ર સનાતન ધર્મ સેવામા તેઓ એક સનાતન હિન્દુ તરીકે જોડાઈ અને તન મન ધનથી સેવા આપી રહ્યા છે.

અમે બીજા ફ્લેટમાં રહીએ છીએ
કિશોર ખંભાયતા એ દિવ્યભાસ્કર સાથે વાત કરતા જણાવ્યું હતું કે, હું છેલ્લા એક દોઢ વર્ષથી ધીરેન્દ્ર શાસ્ત્રી સાથે જોડાયેલો છું. હું તેમનો ભક્ત છું અને તેમને મને મારા ઘરે આવવાનું વચન આપ્યું હતું અને એ વચન તેઓ પૂર્ણ કરી મારા નિવાસ્થાને ઉતારો આપ્યો છે. આખા બિલ્ડિંગને શણગારવામાં આવ્યું છે. તેમજ અંદર આખું ઘર પણ શણગારવામાં આવ્યું છે. આ ક્ષણ ખુદ પરમાત્મા અમારા ઘરે આવતા હોય તેવી ખુશી છે જે શબ્દમાં વર્ણવી શકાય તેમ નથી. અમે અમારા ઘરના તમામ સભ્યો નીચેના માળે બીજા ફ્લેટમાં રહીએ છીએ અને બાબા અને તેમની ટીમ અમારા ફ્લેટમાં આશ્રય લઈ રહ્યા છે.

Officers working with the Washoe Sheriff department often have to face different hurdles in their line of work. And guess what? It also includes freeing a bear that somehow managed to trap itself inside a car. A video shared on the department’s official Twitter handle shows how one of their deputies skillfully uses a rope trick to free the bear.
“You never know what a call may bring. Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Incline patrol responded to a residence, that’s where they learned that the owners had discovered a bear stuck inside their vehicle,” reads the caption posted along with the video.

The video was posted on May 29. Since being shared, the clip has accumulated close to 25,000 views. Additionally, the share has gathered nearly 300 likes. Many took to the comments section to share their reactions.

સિદ્ધપુરની પાણીની પાઈપલાઈનમાંથી યુવતીના મૃતદેહના અંગો મળવા મામલે રિઝનલ મ્યુનિસિપલ કમિશનરે નગર પાલિકાની મુલાકત લઈ સિદ્ધપુર પ્રાંત અધિકારી, પાણી પુરવઠા અધિકારી અને નગરપાલિકાના ચીફ ઓફિસર સહિત અધિકારીઓ સાથે બેઠક યોજી હતી. ત્યારબાદ રિઝનલ મ્યુનિસિપલ કમિશ્નર રમેશ ડામોરે પાણીની ટાંકીની બહારથી જ મુલાકાત લીધી હતી. રિઝનલ મ્યુનિસિપલ કમિશ્નર દ્વારા જણાવ્યું હતું કે, અમને જાણવા મળ્યું છે કે, હાલમાં એ વિસ્તારના લોકો ટાંકીનું પાણી પીતા નથી, ત્યારે તેમના ઘરે જઈ પાણી પીવા માટે સમજાવવામાં આવશે.
સિદ્ધપુરમાં પાણીની પાઇપ લાઈનમાંથી યુવતીના અવશેષો મળવા મામલે ગાંધીનગર રિઝનલ મ્યુનિસિપલ કમિશનર રમેશ ડામોરે સિદ્ધપુર નગરપાલિકા ખાતે પ્રાંત અધિકારી, પાણી પુરવઠા અધિકારી અને નગરપાલિકાના અધિકારીઓ સાથે બેઠક યોજી જરૂરી સૂચનો સહિત ચર્ચાઓ કરી જરૂરી આદેશ કર્યો હતા.
રિઝનલ મ્યુનિસિપલ કમિશ્નર રમેશ ડામોરે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, બનાવ વહેલા બન્યો હતો અમે તબક્કા વાર રિપોર્ટ પણ લીધા હતા, હજુ પણ પાણીમાં તકલીફ નથી ને એ જાણવા માટે આવ્યાં હતા, હજુ પણ લોકો એ પાણી પીવાનું ચાલુ કર્યું નથી એટલે અત્યારે શું પરિસ્થિતિ છે એ માટે આવ્યાં છીએ. રિપોર્ટ તો મેં પણ જોયા છે મિટિંગ દરમિયાન પાણી પીવા લાયક છે અમે અત્યારે પદાધિકારીઓ અને લોકલ માણસો સાથે ચર્ચા કરી હતી. તેમજ આવતીકાલથી લોકોને સમજાવા ડોર ટુ ડોર જવાના છીએ એવું પ્લાનિંગ કર્યું છે. મારી જે સી ઓ સાથે ચર્ચાઓ થઈ તે પ્રમાણે લાઈનનું આઉટ લેટની બે થી ત્રણ વાર સાફ સફાઈ કરાઈ છે. હવે કઈ હોય એવું લાગતું નથી. પાણીની ટાંકીની સેફટી માટે અમે મદદ કરવા તૈયાર છીએ.
સિદ્ધપુર નગર પાલિકાના ચીફ ઓફિસર સંજય પટેલે જણાવ્યું હતું કે, આવતીકાલથી જે પાણી આવશે એ અમે પણ પી ને વિસ્તારના રહીશોને સમજાવશું. કેબિનેટ મંત્રી અને એમના માણસો દ્વારા પાણીની બોટલ પણ વિતરણ કરવામાં આવે છે. જરૂરિયાત વાળા વિસ્તારમાં ટેન્કર પણ મુકવામાં આવશે જેને જોઈએ તે ઉપયોગ કરી શકે.
શું છે સમગ્ર મામલો?
પાટણ જિલ્લાના સિદ્ધપુરમાં 16 તારીખે પ્રથમવાર પીવાના પાણીની પાઈપલાઈનમાંથી શંકાસ્પદ મૃતદેહના અવશેષો મળ્યા હતા. ત્યાર બાદ સિદ્ધપુરના અલગ અલગ વિસ્તારમાંથી મૃતદેહના અવશેષો મળવાનો સિલસિલો જોવા મળ્યો હતો. તો બીજી તરફ સિદ્ધપુરમાં જ રહેતી લવિના નામની યુવતી પણ ગુમ થવાનું સામે આવ્યું હતું અને તેના એક સીસીટીવી પણ સામે આવ્યા હતા. પાઈપલાઈનમાંથી જે અવશેષો મળ્યા હતા એના પીએમ રિપોર્ટમાં આ અવશેષો યુવતીના જ હોવાનો ઘટસ્ફોટ થયો હતો, પરંતુ, આ અવશેષો ગુમ થયેલી લવિનાના જ છે કે નહીં એ નક્કી કરવા માટે તેનાં માતા-પિતાનો DNA રિપોર્ટ કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો. એ આવતાં એમાં સ્પષ્ટ થયું છે કે સિદ્ધપુરમાં અલગ અલગ વિસ્તારની પાઈપલાઈનમાંથી મૃતદેહના અવશેષો મળી આવ્યા હતા એ લવિનાના જ હતા.

Josh Tongue was quick to talk up Worcestershire’s role in him winning his first Test cap for England against Ireland at Lord’s this week, but it remains to be seen if he will still be at the county in 2024.
Tongue is the first Worcestershire player to make a men’s Test debut for England since Moeen Ali in 2014, and said on Tuesday that his debut would be “a massive thing” for the club. “There are a lot of people at Worcester who have influenced my career,” he added.
But Tongue is among a number of Worcestershire players whose deals with the county are due to end this year and June 1, the day of his debut, also marks the date when county cricketers whose contracts expire at the end of a season are free to talk to other clubs.
Jack Haynes, the 22-year-old batter, is also out of contract this season, and losing either player would be a significant blow for Worcestershire. Both Haynes and Tongue are graduates of the club’s academy, and were part of England Lions’ tour to Sri Lanka earlier this year.
Worcestershire have enjoyed a strong start to the 2023 season on the pitch: they are joint-third in Division Two of the County Championship with two wins from six and have won all three of their T20 Blast games to date.
But off it, they are in a state of flux. The club reported an annual loss of just over £200,000 for 2022 and their financial health is dependent on ECB distributions, which account for around 60% of their annual income.
The club announced an intention to appoint a director of cricket in July 2022 but the position remains vacant, with Paul Pridgeon – the head of their ‘cricket steering group’, an unpaid role – in charge of contract negotiations with players and their representatives.
Elsewhere, a number of players who have been part of recent England squads are out of contract. James Bracey and David Payne’s deals with Gloucestershire are up at the end of the year, while Dan Lawrence – who was today released from the England Test squad for T20 Blast duty – is in the final year of his Essex deal and Jordan Cox is in the same situation at Kent.
Matt Parkinson, who made his Test debut a year ago this week, dropped out of Lancashire’s Championship side earlier this year and is also in the final year of his contract. He is now free to speak to other counties as he weighs up his future.
Parkinson played one game on loan at Durham earlier this year, but they are understood to have lined up his twin brother Callum as their main spin-bowling target, having relied on overseas spinners in the Championship this season.
The opening of county cricket’s ‘transfer window’ comes at a time when player contracts are up for discussion, with directors of cricket recently calling for an “urgent” review into the standard 12-month contract due to the proliferation of English players involved in franchise tournaments around the world.
