કાલાવડ રોડ પર આવેલ મહાનગરપાલિકાના સ્વિમીંગ પુલની બાજુમાં મિત્ર સાથે ફાકી ખાવા ઉભેલા વેપારી યુવક પર તેના સસરાએ કાર ભટકવી ધોકાથી બેફામ ફટકાર્યો હતો. તેને બચાવવા વચ્ચે પડેલ તેના મિત્રને પણ માર મારી કારમાં અપહરણ કરી નાસી છૂટ્યા હતાં. આ બનાવમાં ઇજાગ્રસ્ત બંને યુવકોને સારવારમાં ખસેડાયા છે. આ બનાવ અંગે જાણ થતાં યુનિવર્સિટી પોલીસ મથકનો સ્ટાફ હોસ્પિટલે દોડી ગયો હતો અને ઇજાગ્રસ્ત યુવકની ફરિયાદ પરથી મહિલા સહિત ત્રણ શખસો સામે ગુનો નોંધી કાર્યાવાહી હાથ ધરી છે. ફરિયાદી હિરેનભાઇ પરમારે આરોપી તરીકે તેના સસરા અશ્ર્વિન હરિ ફળદુ, સાળો દર્શન અને સાસુ જયશ્રીબેનનું નામ આપ્યું હતું. પોતે કૃપાલી સાથે લવમેરેજ કર્યા હોવાનો ખાર રાખી આરોપીઓએ આ હુમલો કરીને મિત્ર અંકિતનું અપહરણ પણ કર્યું હતું. હાલ પોલીસે આ અંગે તપાસ હાથ ધરી છે.
પત્નીનાં પ્રેમીએ યુવકને જાનથી મારવાની ધમકી આપી
શહેરમાં પતિ-પત્ની ઔર વો નો ચોંકાવનારો કિસ્સો સામે આવ્યો છે. જેમાં પત્નીનાં પ્રેમીએ એક યુવકને જાનથી મારવાની ધમકી આપી હોવાનું સામે આવ્યું છે. સહકાર સોસાયટીમાં રહેતા અને માર્કેટિંગનું કામ કરનાર મોહિત કિરીટસિંહ મકવાણાએ ફરિયાદમાં આરોપી તરીકે માટેલ સોસાયટીનાં જયદીપ ભરતભાઈ પરમારનું નામ આપ્યું હતું. અને જણાવ્યું હતું કે, પત્ની જલ્પાબેને તેના ઉપર ભરણપોષણનો કેસ કર્યો હોય પોતે વકીલ પાસે જતો હતો. ત્યારે પત્નીનાં પ્રેમી જયદીપ પરમારે કહ્યું હતું કે, તું તારી પત્ની જલ્પા સાથે છૂટાછેડા લઈ લે નહીંતર તને જાનથી મારી નાખીશ. હાલ ભક્તિનગર પોલીસ દ્વારા ગુનો નોંધી જરૂરી કાર્યવાહી શરૂ કરવામાં આવી છે.
20 દિવસ પૂર્વે આવેલા પરપ્રાંતીય શ્રમિકનો આપઘાત
જામનગર રોડ પર આવેલા જલારામ મંદિર પાસે વર્ધમાન સાઈટ પર રૂમમાં રહેતા 20 વર્ષીય રોહિત બંસીલાલ કનેશએ પોતાના રુમમાં રાત્રીના સમયે છતના હુકમાં શર્ટ બાંધી ગળા ફાંસો ખાઈ લીધો હતો. ઘટનાને પગલે તેમને સિવિલ હોસ્પિટલમાં ખસેડવામાં આવતા ફરજ પરના તબીબે મૃત જાહેર કર્યો હતો. રોહિત મૂળ મધ્ય પ્રદેશનો વતની અને 20 દિવસ પહેલા જ રાજકોટ આવ્યો હોવાનું જાણવા મળ્યું છે. મૃતકની પત્ની સગર્ભા છે. પોતે બે બહેન એક ભાઈમા નાનો હતો. હાલ આ અંગે પોલીસે જરૂરી કાર્યવાહી હાથ ધરી છે.
પ્રસંગમાંથી કામ છે કહી નિકળેલા યુવકનો આપઘાત
ઘણા સમયથી આપઘાત કરતો નાની ઉંમરના યુવકોમાં સામાન્ય બનતું જઈ રહ્યું છે. તેવો જ એક બનાવ હુડકો ચોકડી પાસેની કિરણ સોસાયટીમાં એક ખાનગી બેંક સેલ્સ મેનેજરે ફાંસો ખાઈ આપઘાત કરી લીધો હતો. હુડકો ચોકડી કિરણ સોસાયટીમાં રહેતા 25 વર્ષીય રૂષભ નવીનભાઈ દેગડા ગઈકાલે સાંજે તેના માતા-પિતા અને નાનાભાઈ સાથે એક પ્રસંગમાં જમવા માટે ગયો હતો. જોકે પરીવારજનો પ્રસંગ માણતા હતાં ત્યારે યુવકે તેના પિતાને મારે કામ છે. એટલે જાવ છું કહી પોતાના ઘરે પહોંચ્યો હતો. બાદમાં પંખાના હુકમાં દોરડા વડે ફાંસો લગાવી આપઘાત કરી લીધો હતો. ઘરે પરત ફરેલા પરીવારજનોએ રૂમનો દરવાજો ખોલતાં પુત્રને લટકતો જોઈ આક્રંદ મચાવ્યો હતો. હાલ પોલીસે આ મામલે વધુ તપાસ શરૂ કરી છે.

વડોદરા શહેરમાં બે અલગ-અલગ ઘટનામાં અકસ્માતમાં 2 લોકોના મોત થયા છે. જેમાં ડમ્પરની અડફેટે મહિલાનું અને કૂતરું વચ્ચે આવી જતા સ્કૂટરમાંથી નીચે પટકાતા એક વ્યક્તિનું મોત થયું છે. આ ઉપરાંત અપહરણ કરીને હત્યા કરવાના ગુનામાં આજીવન સજા થયા બાદ જેલમાંથી ફર્લોની રજા પર ગયા બાદ ફરાર થઈ ગયેલા કેદીને વડોદરા ક્રાઈમ બ્રાન્ચે ઝડપી પાડ્યો છે.
ડમ્પરે મહિલાને કચડી નાખી
વડોદરાના ગોરવા વિસ્તારમાં આવેલી પબ્લિક ભાગ્યલક્ષ્મી સોસાયટીમાં રહેતા મોહનભાઇ ગોહિલ (ઉ.65)એ છાણી પોલીસ સ્ટેશનમાં નોંધાવેલી ફરિયાદમાં જણાવ્યું છે કે, હું ગુજરાત રિફાઇનરીમાંથી નિવૃત થયેલો છું. જીએસએફસી કંપનીની સામે ઓમકારપુરા જવાના રોડ પર બુલેટ ટ્રેનના બ્રિજ નીચે મારી બાઇકને ડમ્પરે પાછળથી ટક્કર મારી હતી. જેથી હું અને મારી પત્ની નીચે પટકાયા હતા. ડમ્પરનું ટાયર મારી પત્ની લલિતાના માથા અને બંને હાથ પર ફરી વળ્યું હતું. જેથી માથુ છુંદાઇ જતાં મારી પત્નીનું સ્થળ પર જ મોત થયું હતું અને અકસ્માત કરનાર ડમ્પર ચાલક સ્થળ પરથી ફરાર થઈ ગયો હતો.
કૂતરું વચ્ચે આવી જતા એકનું મોત
વડોદરાના વીઆઇપી રોડ પર આવેલી સાંઇકૃપા સોસાયટીમાં રહેતા દિપકભાઇ બાલકૃષ્ણ દેશમુખ (ઉ.58)એ કારેલીબાગ પોલીસ સ્ટેશનમાં નોંધાવેલી ફરિયાદમાં જણાવ્યું છે કે, હું ઘરેથી ચાલતો કામ અર્થે બહાર નીકળ્યો હતો. તે સમયે અમારી બાજુમાં આવેલી રણછોડપાર્ક સોસાયટીમાં રહેતા રાજેન્દ્રસિંગ ચંચલસિંગ સન્ધુ તેમની ઓફિસમાં કામ કરતા કલ્પેશ બ્રહ્મભટ્ટની સાથે ઇલેક્ટ્રીક સ્કૂટરમાં પાછળ બેસીને આવતા હતા. તે વખતે સોનલપાર્ક સોસાયટી પાસે મહાદેવ મંદિરથી આગળ રણછોડપાર્ક સોસાયટી જવાના રોડ પર આગળ કૂતરુ આવી જતા બ્રેક મારતા રાજેન્દ્રસિંગ સન્ધુ નીચે પડી ગયા હતા અને તેમને માથા અને પગના ભાગે ગંભીર ઇજાઓ થઇ હતી. જેથી તેમને સારવાર અર્થે ખાનગી હોસ્પિટલમાં સારવાર અર્થે ખસેડવામાં આવ્યા હતા. જ્યાં તબીબોએ તેમને મૃત જાહેર કર્યાં હતા.
ફરાર કેદી ઝડપાયો
વડોદરામાં અપહરણ કરીને હત્યા કરવાના ગુનામાં આજીવન સજા થયા બાદ વડોદરા જેલમાંથી ફર્લોની રજા પર ગયા બાદ ફરાર થઈ ગયેલા કેદી રમેશ રાઠોડિયા(રહે. વડસર, વડોદરા)ને વડોદરા ક્રાઈમ બ્રાન્ચે ઝડપી પાડ્યો છે અને આ મામલે વધુ તપાસ કરી છે.

સમગ્ર બનાવ અંગે જાણવા મળતી વિગતો અનુસાર ગતરોજ એલસીબી નો સ્ટાફ તળાજા પંથકમાં પેટ્રોલીંગમા હોય એ દરમ્યાન બાતમીદારોએ ચોક્કસ બાતમી આપી હતી કે ભાવનગર તરફથી એક આઈસરમા ઘરવખરી ના સામાનની આડમાં પરપ્રાંતિય શરાબ-બિયરનો જથ્થો મહુવા તરફ લઈ જવાઈ રહ્યો છે જે હકીકત આધારે ટીમ વોચમા હોય એ દરમ્યાન તળાજા ના વેળાવદર ગામના પાટીયા પાસેથી બાતમીદારોએ આપેલ વર્ણન વાળો આઈસર ટેમ્પો નં-જી-જે-04-એક્સ-5906 પસાર થતાં તેને અટકાવી ટેમ્પામા સવાર ત્રણ શખ્સોને અટકમાં લઈ નામ-સરનામા સાથે આઈસરની તલાશી હાથ ધરી હતી.
ઝડપાયેલા શખ્સો વિરુદ્ધ ફરિયાદ
જેમાં અટક કરાયેલ શખ્સોએ પોતાના નામ જણાવેલ જેમાં રમેશ ખીમજી બાલધિયા ઉ.વ.50 રે.શિવનગર મહુવા દિનેશ ચોથા ચૌહાણ ઉ.વ.40 રે.ખેરાગામ તા.રાજુલા જિ.અમરેલી અને લક્ષ્મણ કિશોર ગુજરીયા ઉ.વ.22 રે.ખેરાગામ વાળા હોવાનું જણાવેલ તથા આઈસરમા મજુરોની ઘરવખરી ની આડમાં છુપાવેલ ઈંગ્લીશ દારૂ-બિયરનો જથ્થો મળી આવતા પોલીસે ત્રણેય ખેપીયાઓની દારૂ-બિયર તથા આઈસર મળી કુલ રૂ.5,28,600 ના મુદ્દામાલ સાથે ધડપકડ કરી તળાજા પોલીસ સ્ટેશનમાં ફરિયાદ નોંધાવી આગળની કાર્યવાહી હાથ ધરી હતી.
US House passes bill to avert debt default: Senate to process legislation next | World News | Times Of Ahmedabad
A rare coalition of centrist Democrats and Republicans came together on Wednesday in the United States (US) House of Representatives to pass the Fiscal Responsibility Act 2023, a legislation that suspends the debt ceiling limit for two years in exchange for spending cuts in the federal budget.
The passage of the bill, a product of an understanding between President Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, helps the US avert what would have been an unprecedented default on its obligations and an economic crisis. The bill will now go to the Senate where it is expected to pass smoothly.
Overcoming objections from far-Right Republicans, who argued that the spending cuts did not go far enough, and progressive Democrats, who argued that the spending cuts went too far and objected to debt ceiling negotiations itself, 314 Congressional representatives voted for the bill. Among them were 149 Republicans and 165 Democrats. But 71 Republicans and 46 Democrats voted against the bill.
The US had hit its debt limit of $31.4 trillion on January 19. While the Treasury Department had resorted to extraordinary measures since then, it had warned that a failure to suspend the debt limit by June 5 would result in the Us defaulting on its obligations. After prolonged negotiations, Biden and McCarthy struck a deal on Saturday.
This rested on Republicans agreeing to suspend the limit till 2025 and Democrats agreeing to add work requirements in case of certain categories of welfare recipients, returning unspent funds from the pandemic relief package, cutting additional funding for tax enforcement, and enabling easier permissions for energy projects, among other measures.
In a statement, Biden said, “The House took a critical step forward to prevent a first-ever default and protect our country’s hard-earned and historic economic recovery. This budget agreement is a bipartisan compromise. Neither side got everything it wanted. That’s the responsibility of governing.”
Thanking McCarthy, Biden reiterated that his agreement with the Republicans protected “key priorities and accomplishments” of the past two years, including the spending commitments under the Inflation Reduction Act, Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. “I urge the Senate to pass it as quickly as possible so that I can sign it into law, and our country can continue building the strongest economy in the world,” Biden said.
McCarthy hailed the vote as a win and claimed that he had pushed the Democrats to engineer the “greatest savings” in American history. In a statement, the House Republican leadership said, “Taxpayers will save an estimated $2.1 trillion, and Congress will spend less money next year than this year for the first time in a decade — without adding new taxes on families.”

અમદાવાદના ચાંદખેડા પોલીસ મથકે 2013માં આશારામ અને તેના પુત્ર નારાયણ સાંઈ સામે સુરતની બે બહેનોએ રેપની ફરિયાદ દાખલ કરી હતી. જ્યારે આશારામ જોધપુરમાં આવા જ કેસમાં જેલમાં બંધ હતો. આ કેસ ગાંધીનગર સેશન્સ કોર્ટમાં ચાલ્યો જ્યાં આસારામ તેની પત્ની, દીકરી સહિત અન્ય પાંચ આરોપીઓ સામે કેસ દાખલ કરવામાં આવ્યો હતો.
આજીવન કારાવાસની સજા સંભળાવી
આ કેસમાં યુવતીએ વર્ષ 2001થી 2006 દરમિયાન સાબરમતી ખાતેના આશ્રમમાં તેની પર આશારામ દ્વારા રેપ કરવામાં આવતો હોવાની ફરિયાદ કરી હતી. ટ્રાયલ દરમિયાન એક આરોપીનું મોત થયું હતું. જ્યારે ગાંધીનગર કોર્ટે આશારામને ચાલુ વર્ષના જાન્યુઆરી મહિનામાં સેક્શન 376 રેપ, 354 (A) સેક્સુઅલ હેરેસમેન્ટ, 377 વગેરે અંતર્ગત આજીવન કારાવાસની સજા સંભળાવી હતી. જ્યારે આશારામની પત્ની, દીકરી ભારતી સહિત અન્ય ચાર મહિલા આરોપી ધ્રુવબેન, નિર્મલા, જસ્સી અને મીરાને પુરાવાના અભાવે છોડી દેવામા આવ્યા હતા.
છોડી મુકાયેલા આરોપીઓ સામે પિટિશન
જો કે, રાજ્ય સરકારના કાયદા વિભાગે નિર્ણય કર્યો છે કે, આ કેસમાં ગાંધીનગર કોર્ટ દ્વારા છોડી મુકાયેલા છ મહિલા આરોપીઓ સામે હાઇકોર્ટમાં અપીલ કરવામા આવશે. રાજ્ય સરકારના કાયદા વિભાગે સમગ્ર ચુકાદાનું વિશ્લેષણ કરીને આ નિર્ણય કર્યો છે. આ અંગેનું રિઝોલ્યુશન કાયદા વિભાગે પાસ કર્યું છે. જેમાં છોડી મુકાયેલા આરોપીઓ સામે પિટિશન ઉપરાંત આશારામને જોધપુર અને સુરતની યુવતીઓ સાથેના રેપ કેસમાં મળેલી આજીવન કારાવાસની સજા એક સાથે કાપવાની હુકમની સત્તા ટ્રાયલ કોર્ટ પાસે નથી તેમ બે વાત રહેશે. કારણ કે રાજસ્થાન અને ગુજરાત બન્ને રેપ કેસ અલગ છે.

Mount Everest has been conquered, according to a copyright message published in ‘The Times’ today.
News of the successful bid of the British expedition in reaching the summit of Mt. Everest was given by announcers who broke into U.S. radio and television programmes today.
The news came as a graphic and welcome addition to the details of the Coronation which had been filling American newspapers for days.
Col. John Hunt, leader of the British Expedition, was believed to have planned the final assault on May 29 or 30.
Observers in Kathmandu had earlier thought that the expedition had again been thrown behind schedules as happened in the first abortive attempt.
Col. Hunt, leader of the expedition, had earlier reported failure of the first assault due to bad weather and snow.
Everest, the highest mountain in the world, is a peak of the Himalayas situated in Nepal. Its elevation is approximately 29,140 ft.
After a reconnaissance attempt in 1921, the first assault on the mountain was made in 1922. Brig.-Gen. C. G. Bruce was in command.
The second attempt was made in 1924. Brig.-Gen. Bruce was again in command.
Mallory and Irvine who, in 1924, reached an altitude of 28,230 feet, never returned to tell their tale.
The pre-1935 attempts were all from the north side and an altitude of about 28,000 feet was reached, after which a “yellow pass” presented a very steep and slippery approach, leading to a still more hazardous “black pass,” whose condition could not even be guessed with any measure of accuracy. Also. the route is subject to blizzards and almost impossible weather conditions. The west and south route, which was followed by the Swiss and the 1953 British expedition, is in an ice valley which is not only safe from strong winds, but also gets longer sunlight.

રાજકોટનાં લોકો માટે જીવાદોરી સમાન સાબિત થયેલા સૌની યોજના અંતર્ગત ફરી એકવાર રાજકોટ શહેરનાં આજી-1 ડેમમાં નર્મદા નીર આગામી તા.3ને શનિવારથી છોડવામાં આવશે. આ અંગે રાજકોટ સિંચાઈ વિભાગનાં જણાવ્યા અનુસાર મનપા દ્વારા તાજેતરમાં જ આજી-1 ડેમ માટે ફરી 400 એમસીએફટી વધુ નર્મદા નીર છોડવા માટે માંગ કરવામાં આવી હતી. હાલ 29 ફૂટે છલકાતા આજી-1 ડેમમાં 17.50 ફૂટ સુધી પાણી ભરેલું છે. ત્યારે શનિવારથી ફરી સિંચાઈ વિભાગ દ્વારા આજી-1માં 300 એમસીએફટી નર્મદા નીર અપાશે. ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે 1 માસ અગાઉ પણ સિંચાઈ વિભાગે આજી-1 ડેમમાં 800 એમસીએફટી જેટલું પાણી છોડયું હતું. અને હાલમાં જ રાજકોટનાં ન્યારી-1 ડેમમાં પણ સૌની યોજના અંતર્ગત 300 એમસીએફટી જેટલું પાણી છોડવામાં આવ્યું હતું.
જિલ્લા કલેકટર કચેરીમાં 24 કલાકનો ફલડ કંટ્રોલરૂમ શરૂ
ચોમાસાની ઋતુ દરમ્યાન કુદરતી આપત્તિઓ જેવી કે વાવાઝોડુ, અતિ ભારે વરસાદના સમયે રાહત-બચાવ અને તકેદારીના પગલા લેવા માટે જીલ્લા કલેકટર કચેરી ખાતે દર વર્ષની જેમ ચાલુ વર્ષે આજથી 24 કલાકનો ફલડ કંટ્રોલ રૂમ શરૂ કરાયો છે. કલેકટર કચેરી ડીઝાસ્ટર મેનેજમેન્ટ વિભાગમાં શરૂ થયેલા આ કંટ્રોલ રૂમ માટે રાજય સરકાર દ્વારા નાયબ મામલતદાર અને સેવકની 1-1 જગ્યાની મહેકમ તા.1/6થી 30/11 સુધીનું હંગામી ધોરણે મંજૂર કરી દેવામાં આવી છે.

ઉમરાળા તાલુકાના ચોગઠ ગામમાં રહેતા રત્નકલાકાર યુવાન ઉપર અગાઉ થયેલી બોલાચાલીની દાઝ રાખી પિતા-પુત્રોએ છરી, પાઇપ તથા લાકડી વડે હુમલો કર્યો હતો. જેથી ઇજાગ્રસ્ત યુવકને સારવાર અર્થે હોસ્પિટલ ખસેડવામાં આવ્યો હતો.

આ બનાવ અંગે ઉમરાળા પોલીસ મથકેથી મળતી માહિતી મુજબ ઉમરાળા તાલુકાના ચોગઠ ગામમાં આવેલ ભાથીજી મંદિર પાસે રહેતા રત્નકલાકાર યુવક ઘનશ્યામભાઈ રતિલાલ ડાભીને ગામમાં રહેતા પ્રવીણભાઈ ડાભી સાથે અગાઉ બોલાચાલઈ થઈ હતી, તે બાબતની દાઝ રાખી ગઈ તા.27 ના રોજ મોડી રાત્રે તેઓ ઘરે જતા હતા. તે દરમિયાન પ્રવીણભાઈ ડાભી, તેનો ભાઈ નરેશ અને પિતા ચીથરભાઈ મેરાભાઇ ડાભીએ ઘનશ્યામભાઈને અટકાવી છરી, પાઈપ તથા લાકડી વડે હુમલો કરતા ઈજાગ્રસ્ત ઘનશ્યામભાઈને સારવાર અર્થે હોસ્પિટલમાં ખસેડવામાં આવ્યાં હતા. આ બનાવ અંગે ઘનશ્યામભાઈ ડાભીએ પિતા-પુત્રો વિરુદ્ધ આઈપીસી 323, 325, 326, 504, 114 તથા જીપી એકટ 135 મુજબ ફરિયાદ નોંધાવતા ઉમરાળા પોલીસે ગુનો નોંધી વધુ તપાસ હાથ ધરી છે.

વડોદરાના કેયુષ પટેલ દ્વારા ગુજરાત હાઇકોર્ટમાં વકીલ ધવલ પટેલ મારફતે અગાઉ એક સ્પેશિયલ સિવિલ એપ્લિકેશન દાખલ કરવામાં આવી હતી. જેમાં માંગ કરાઈ હતી કે અરજદારને JEE એડવાન્સ પરીક્ષા આપવા દેવામાં આવે. આજે તેની પર હાઇકોર્ટમાં જજ એસ.વી.પીંન્ટોની કોર્ટમાં વધુ સુનવણી હાથ ધરાઈ હતી.
અરજદાર દ્વારા એક પણ પ્રશ્ન અટેન્ડ કરવામાં આવ્યો નથી
કેયુષ પટેલે ધોરણ 10 અને 12 વિજ્ઞાન પ્રવાહમાં 90 ટકા કરતા વધુ ગુણ મેળવ્યા છે. તેને એન્જિયરિંગની સંસ્થામાં પ્રવેશ મેળવવા ચાલુ વર્ષે JEE મેઇન્સ પરીક્ષા આપી હતી. જેના કટ ઓફ માર્ક્સના આધારે દેશની IIT સંસ્થાઓમાં પ્રવેશ મેળવવા JEE એડવાન્સ પરીક્ષા આપવાની રહે છે. JEE મેઇન્સ પરીક્ષા નેશનલ ટેસ્ટિંગ એજન્સી – NTA લે છે. જેના દ્વારા જાહેર કરાયેલી રિસ્પોન્સ શીટ પ્રમાણે અરજદાર દ્વારા એક પણ પ્રશ્ન અટેન્ડ કરવામાં આવ્યો નથી. જો કે અરજદારનું કહેવું હતું કે પહેલા એજન્સી દ્વારા જાહેર કરાયેલ રિસ્પોન્સ સીટમાં 75 પ્રશ્નો અટેન્ડ કરેલા બતાવાયા હતા. જ્યારે ફરી વખત અમુક સમય પછી જોતા તેમાં એક પણ પ્રશ્ન પોતે અટેન્ડ ન કર્યો હોવાનું જણાવાયું હતું.
હોશિયાર વિધાર્થી 03 કલાક બેસી રહ્યો?
અરજદારના વકીલ દ્વારા દલીલ કરાઈ હતી કે, તો શું આટલો હોશિયાર વિધાર્થી 03 કલાક બેસી રહ્યો? અરજદારે જે કોમ્પ્યુટરથી રિસ્પોન્સ શીટ ડાઉનલોડ કરી હતી તેની ફોરેન્સિક તપાસ કરવી જોઈએ. જો પોતે ખોટા ઠરે તો કાનૂની કાર્યવાહી માટે પણ તેઓ તૈયાર છે. પરંતુ જો અરજદારને JEE એડવાન્સ પરીક્ષામાં બેસવા દેવામાં નહીં આવે તો તેનું એક વર્ષ બગડશે.
અરજદારના હાથ અને માઉસની મુવમેન્ટ ચકાસાઈ
જેના જવાબમાં નેશનલ ટેસ્ટિંગ એજન્સી વતી એડવોકેટ કે.વી. શેલાતે પરીક્ષાની ટેક્નિકાલિટી સંભાળતી સંસ્થા ટાટા કન્સલ્ટિંગ સર્વિસીઝ (TCS), નેશનલ ઇન્ફોર્મેટિક સેન્ટરના વિસ્તૃત ડેટા ઉપસ્થિત કર્યા હતા. જેમાં અરજદારે એક પણ પ્રશ્ન અટેન્ડ ન કરતા દરેક પ્રશ્નમાં ફક્ત ‘સેવ એન્ડ નેક્સ્ટ’ બટન પર ક્લિક કર્યું હોવાનું જણાવ્યું હતું. પરીક્ષા વખતના રેકોર્ડિંગમાં અરજદારના હાથ અને માઉસની મુવમેન્ટ પણ ચકાસાઈ છે. સાથે જ આ પરીક્ષા દેશભરમાંથી 11.40 લાખ જેટલા વિધાર્થીઓ આપે છે. ત્યારે એક જ વિધાર્થીને આવી તકલીફ પડી ન શકે તેમ પણ જણાવ્યું હતું.
કેસની વધુ સુનવણી 08 જૂને નક્કી કરી
ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે, IIT ગુવાહાટી દ્વારા JEE એડવાન્સ પરીક્ષા 04 જુનના રોજ યોજાનાર છે. જયારે જજ એસ.વી.પીંન્ટોએ બંને પક્ષની લાંબી દલીલો સાંભળ્યા બાદ કેસની વધુ સુનવણી 08 જૂને નક્કી કરી છે. આમ કોર્ટ દ્વારા કોઈ વચગાળાની રાહત જાહેર ન કરાતા અરજદાર JEE એડવાન્સ પરીક્ષા આપી શકશે નહીં.

Rishi Sunak’s administration refused a demand from the UK’s Covid-19 inquiry to hand over former Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s WhatsApp messages and pandemic diaries, setting up a legal battle that risks amplifying accusations of a cover-up.
The Cabinet Office on Thursday said it’s filing for a judicial review into the request by Heather Hallett, the retired judge appointed by the government itself to lead the inquiry for the documents.
The government has refused for days to hand over the documents, arguing they are “unambiguously irrelevant” to the official probe into how ministers and officials handled the coronavirus outbreak. The approach has opened Sunak up to accusations he is attempting to cover up sensitive information, and even some members of his governing Conservative Party have urged him to comply.
But shortly before the deadline to comply on Thursday, Sunak told reporters he was “confident” in the government position.
The Tories’ preferred line about the pandemic is to focus on the roll-out of vaccines that ended lockdowns and allowed the economy to re-open. But that ignores more controversial aspects, including testing shortages, allegations of corruption and the deaths of thousands of older Britons in care homes despite government assurances that measures were in place to protect them.
Both Johnson and Sunak — who was then Chancellor of the Exchequer — were fined for breaking rules imposed to slow the spread of Covid-19, while the former was also widely criticized for missing early emergency meetings about how the UK should respond to the crisis.
Meanwhile Sunak’s signature “Eat Out to Help Out” program to encourage people back into restaurants triggered a backlash from health experts, who said it helped to spread coronavirus.
Bloomberg reported this week that the government’s top lawyer, James Eadie, had advised it not to share information with the inquiry by default, and to block the release of “politically sensitive” material about the pandemic.
The Cabinet Office said this week it has provided upwards of 55,000 documents, 24 personal witness statements and eight corporate statements to the inquiry, and that Heather Hallett, a retired judge appointed by Johnson to lead the probe, does not have the power to request the information she had demanded.
Hallett, though, has argued that everything should be disclosed and it is up to her to decide what is relevant to her work.
